I’ve been saving my money and am trying to switch my winter/fall wardrobe to dark academia, one piece at a time. I like to call my current winter aesthetic “disgusting long sleeve t shirts from 2015 + skinny jeans”

Yea... dark blouses coats dress shoes when all my classmates wear jeans and expensive hoodies...

I'm so glad there's actually youtube content for Dark Academia now. :) When I first got into the aesthetic in 2014 there was hardly any content outside of obscure tumblr blogs

Ahhh I love the dark academia aesthetic!!! I love your outfits! I’m not sure if you’ve already read it, but it was after I read “the secret history” that I first got into the aesthetic, and I HIGHLY recommend it, it’s one of my favourite books of all time :)

Very nice! Society dinner is my favourite look! I would finish it with black heels or ankle boots with sheer black stockings, then it will be perfect for a fancy dinner!

Thanks for making this! I've been trying to dress in dark academia, because I'm obsessed with it rn.

I love the Dark Academia scenery and atmosphere (cloudy and foggy weather, old buildings and gothic castles, wrought iron, old cemeteries, etc) and I actually am an academic, but I wouldn't be caught dead wearing Dark Academia clothing. My natural clothing style is the exact opposite, a cross between indie kid and soft girl. I'm chuckling to myself trying to picture a heavy, sober Dark Academia scene, and me there, wearing bright and neon colors, ripped acid-washed jeans, and converse shoes.
