Interesting I got 10 years as a roll off truck driver I do things very similar except using the tarp to help close the dumpster door, I use different ways
@@code3responsevideos872 I'm more then happy to answer any questions and yes it's a great job we have a few different trucks in our fleet to choose from mack, kenworth, Volvo some automatic transmission some standard
Looking to start a Rolloff service here in South Texas , How many dumpsters you think a small Rolloff business should start with ,and sizes.. ? Liked the video lots of info..
Joey83 best way is go to a smaller company who is willing to train you. Most larger companies are harder hired with no experience. Just google “dumpster rental near me” and call those places and ask if they’re hiring CDL drivers.
Thank you, I wish that you had showed the controls as you were dumping. Maybe have somebody else with you holding the camera. I don't want to seem ungrateful but I don't think anybody could learn to dump that by this video
I like leather gloves non insulated in summer and insulated in winter. Plus if they have cut resistance because the cable can sometime fray a bit towards the end of its life
Luke Nelsen as far as the engine? It is great. It runs perfect. Doesn’t lose any fluids. Very powerful. The only thing I would be careful of it the Mack brand transmission. Ours was replaced at 50,000 miles. It now has 97,000 miles on it. The Mack brand M drive transmission has a 250k mile warranty. But like I said we are on our second. It sucked to have a Mack with 50,000 miles on it in the shop for 2 weeks getting a new trans installed! It took 2 weeks with no truck. But like I said it’s still under warranty for us and cost us nothing. Everything else on the truck works perfectly. The Mack granite has much more room then the kenworth trucks. Make sure and get all power windows and locks. My truck is a 2018 and has manual windows and locks. I wish I had power. I really run the Mack hard and she really takes it well. I have carried 87k gross loads no sweat. I recommend the truck and engine but I would see if they’ve updated the trans or get another option. Maybe an Eaton manual or Allison auto. The mdrive has been a great driving trans aside from the one failure!
@@code3responsevideos872 Great feedback. I appreciate it! All of the Macks I have looked at have the Allison automatic transmission in them. I have heard good things about them. It sounds like you have too. Are you the owner?
Luke Nelsen no sir. I am the lead driver/trainer. I have worked for this company since day one. A total of 6 years we have been in business. When I started we had no trucks and no dumpsters. Our first truck was an 1987 Mack. Now I drive a 2018! In the beginning I had to do all the repairs when we were a small company. Now we have 5 roll off Trucks and about 250 dumpsters. I drive full time now but I was part mechanic and part driver.
