haven't you seen just how bad a accident can be?? imagine,... if you can cut a finger using paper... how is it going to be like when you fall... slide.... and hit the edge of a side walk...

they only cruise around the cities mate... living in the UK you notice everyone is obsessed with health and safety and there are so many restrictive rules... Its refreshing to visit a place where you can have fun and enjoy life without the stress. flip flops and shorts on a scoot makes perfect sense to me and them.

hcw199 huumm well I don't know if you have notice all the accidents shown in RU-vid.... perhaps most were filmed in Taiwan... there are plenty of videos that clearly show how bad it can get and just how simple it is to get into a really bad situation... if you look at a game named xcom you will see the sort of gear that one needs

hum I bet that you aren't wearing proper gear... perhaps believing that if there was a accident it would be a minor thing... at 30 to 40 km per hr and above pretty much a accidents can kill or leave some nasty injuries that you will be wearing for the rest of your life... if you think that not wearing gear is nice... or ok... I know you are wrong... plenty of prove to see that I am right... if you don't want the gear... better stay away from driving a scooter or a motorcycle

+Tanjima Brishty Hi Tanjima, I don't really think it's necessary to learn riding a bicycle, though maybe it could help you. For me it's much easier to ride a bicycle than a scooter, maybe it will be the other way round for you. Just try it :)

A scooter is like a bicycle.

So what..people wear shorts, flip flops and no gloves and helmets on bicycles each and every day. Sure they are a lot slower but the end result, falls , spills getting hit by vehicles ends the same way. .

avu sha With an automatic scooter gear shifting will happen automatically while with a non-automatic scooter you’ll have to use your foot and the clutch pedal to shift the gears up and down.

Dipannita Bhattachariyad i learning to drive scooter but i have never learn to drive a cycle . Without learning to drive a cycle it becomes very hard for completely newbie to learn to drive scooter ...........i am still taking my lesson and u should too...even if u are a newbie.

16 for a 50cc scooter/moped. Once you pass your CBT practical and theory and you're 17/18 you can ride a 125cc

+ THISGUY :) thanks for your replay. 35 deaths a day on average on Thailand's roads.. Over 70% of which are motorcycle riders. I have spent over thirty years helping get that figure down to just over 3 daily deaths on UK roads. I am working with friends in Thailand on bringing the same teaching skills over from the UK to Thailand. Police officers from Koh Samui and others are working with me on rider training programmes. And we are working on projects to make Thai roads safer. I made comments here because this beautiful young lass in the video has not got the foggiest about what she is doing and statistically has a very good chance of finishing her holiday needing skin grafts.
