Pure talent Lewis. I really missed the great battles with Alonso years ago. Obviously I prefer Fernando because is spanish but here we recognize the amazing drive skills that Lewis owns and I hope that he will never been in the position that Fernando is all this years. The talent doesnt deserve this ever. Go Lewis. Greetings from Spain!

Can really understand what he means with the way he speaks of his vision while driving, when your going fast.. and you have that full control. You can see everything going really slowly and bloody fast at the same time.

Hamilton is more confident than never. When he started his career in Formula1 he was hungry, but now he knows exactly where to bite. Will be extremely hard for anyone to beat him.

The camera angles, them sitting on tyres against a white studio background, smithereens of Hamilton's thoughts while driving around the track all came together in bringing the experience of driving an F1 car closer to us, fans, who likely never will. 100% agree with Lewis on not needing coaches for driving. Or anything (OK, some hobbies like learning guitar but you just need one for very basics when you first start) you want to pursue. Like with hobbies you want to take seriously, you wade in and then you build up confidence and confidence really is all you need. These guys can break down their braking, steering, acceleration techniques etc all day long but they don't realize they're doing it, they're just on autopilot. And when you're cruising through Eau Rouge at 180+ mph on autopilot then you know you're a good driver.

The "sad music" is a cover of a Chris Isaak (SF surfer, sensitive guy) love song. The original might make you want to jump. My opinion: please don't kill me. Lewis has a very organic, innate sense of driving that Ayrton Senna had, that Seb has sometimes, Michael has (or had, I don't know) and some others tap into on occasion. Nico is a much more cerebral driver, who can fine tune his driving with data and I think is suffering much more than is being let on with the radio brown-out. Just a guess. I would love to see another piece on Lewis's "braking technique" he mentioned. No one knows two-footed driving like race car drivers (see Finnish Rally Car Braking for a tutorial) and those of us stuck in traffic would love to see more. I think it's possible to root for your guy without hating on the other guy. Everyone in F1 is a fierce competitor, the fiercest! of all sports, pushing adrenaline, emotions, and the world out of one's mind to race. I'm not a fan of Nico, but I don't hate him at all. I will shake his hand when he wins without any sense of betrayal to Lewis. The BEST man usually wins every time. Lifestyle? Please. 80% of what drivers do is for sponsors. If you were a young, healthy, impossibly popular, unbelievably rich, F1 driver, you would stay at home eating fish and chips with your dad? Research Marc Marquez and The Watches He Wins for a peak into a winner's life. Those are $25,000 watches.

It is interesting that he says all this coaching and analysing that is done these days is a load of B/S, I agree and a lot of people are making a fortune out of making other 's self doubt even worse. The same applies to all this counselling we have after something traumatic, all it does is point out stuff that we would otherwise ignore, people just need to be encouraged to take life's experiences and learn from them thus becoming a stronger, mature person.

Like in everything else staying authentic to oneself is the key to success!!!

I would love to drive the W07.........makes me sad that I'll never have the opportunity because Ill bet its breathtaking(definitely under braking hahaha) Ill admit Mercedes, Im a Scuderia Ferrari fan and I cheer for Kimi and Seb but you have my respect for making such an engineering master piece as well as being both a chassis and engine developer in F1 like Ferrari. I can't possibly be the only person interested in wondering what Lewis' past 3 seasons would have been like if he had an Alonso type as a team mate. Every reason to think championship wise nothing would have turned out different....but who knows? This BTW comes from a burning desire to know how good IS Fernando now. I left F-1 after Senna so I wasn't present when F.A came on the scene but there was always something about him. I have felt his pain ever since Honda came back. Also, I thought button was a paper champion now I know different. I guess all of the drivers on the grid are very good or they wouldn't be there or am I wrong? A note to the new owners: As an american, I want to see an "equal car" race once per year either at the beginning or end of season.
