Love the new direction you’ve taken. Your projects are richer now and you are teaching us new things! This clock is gorgeous and you have done a beautiful job!🌸
I really like how careful and complete you are as you teach these techniques which are new to me. Even when your projects are not in my personal style, I always learn something new every time I watch. Personality wise, I find you refreshing, talented, and honest. I am so glad I found you.
Thank you for the AS tutorial. You used a very light hand and did not use too much paint. I really appreciate seeing this video. Thanks again for the lesson using AS paint. Have a great day. :D
I gotta say I am really liking it, it is great for blending and layering, I know you can do solid color finishes with it too but that's not really my thing unless it's a custom order so I definitely like it for artistic finishes and the wax is great!!!
I love that we are getting to watch you use different products in true Crys'dawna style!! Gives me so many more ideas and inspiration and makes me want to explore more!!!
I'm so glad! I feel so much more free, I gotta tell you that it was weighing me down only using one brand. I felt like I was doing myself, you, and my art a disservice. I will be exploring and using so much more!! If there is anything you want me to try let me know :)
This is a beautiful piece, even more so by adding the Wood U Bend. The color blending you did gave this beauty a Wedgwoodesque look that is absolutely gorgeous!
I live in South Africa and Annie Sloan now has a factory here…other brands are very expensive, she is a genius with colour and very scientific. I love her paint❤️, so happy you tried it again and the piece looks amazing❤️
Well that makes me happy that FINALLY I am able to use a brand you can get there too. Many of my SA community tell me the same thing so I will certainly use her more often :)
Hello Crys’Dawna. Love your piece, with the wood u bend moldings. It gives it an extra flair. Very nice colors. Annie Sloan was one of my first paints I used. I love the fact that when you wax a piece using her wax, it brings the piece out more. Well done Crys’Dawna. Love your teachings.🤭🥰🌝
This is a very unique piece and you treated it beautifully! I definitely get the whole "Cinderella" thing! I haven't tried Annie Sloan paint, but am aware of her history and watched some videos with her showing how to use her paint. It is really made to be a texture paint.
One of my favs in a long time.. I need more artistic finishes videos!! 😂 I absolutely love videos that show layering and shadowing paint techniques and artistic furniture painting…(without transfers! 😬) there’s just no new ones out there these days. So thank you. No pressure but keep up the great work! Have you delved into country chic paint? Would love to see that.thank you!!
Me again, the AF vet from Ohio! I'm thinking I could watch u all day; then I looked up @ the clock & it's like 9p, so I did watch u all day. Ur a magician with paint! Ok, I'm done for the day, lol
Love this piece with all of the Woodubend and the blending. The stencil really made a difference on the door and the gold took it to a new level. Thanks Crys'Dawna for another great video !!
Oh my girl... she came out absolutely stunning 😍 I was super happy to see you use Annie Sloan Chalk Paint plus do a finish with some dry brushing to give a little texture. I am in need of a real good texture video soon 😜 Texture and dry brushing are my two favorite techniques to do/add to a piece‼️ Thanks for an amazing video Crys'Dawna ❣️❤
I'm such a texture person. I'd love a more independent video on textures and how you decide when to use that technique or not. I seem to want to add texture to everything and I'm not sure if that's always the right thing to do. Does it take away elegance? etc..
Uhhhhh, sand down her paint and it’s literally like BUTTA!! I love using her paint w a distressed look bc I die every time I feel that paint after it’s been sanded 😍😍😍😍
Hey girl 😊 I would love love love to see you use Autentico Paint 🎨 I have used their paint once and absolutely fell in love 😍 Plus they have so many specialty products that I want to try that I know will be right up your alley ❣️ Texture products, Sea Salt Fizz, Rust & Patina powders, etc. just to name a few 😁 Here in the US we have to order from an US affiliate or off of the "usa" website but not sure what site you would order from. I totally hope you give it a try, I guarantee that you will love it 💯❤
Ooh I will have to get some I am almost certain they will have retailers here :) I will see if they will ship to an APO!! Hang tight we will see what they have!!
Yes, they have cool products! I got the SeaSalt Fizz and it creates an awesome effect! I’d love to try more of their speciality finish products, and paint! They’re on my list of things to save for.
U seriously can do every type of style. This is prolly one of my favorite videos from u. How u layered that n not cause a mess of muddy paint i guess thats where my problem is i use water with most of my paints!! Wish I could order Annie Sloan online somewhere!! No local vendors for 200 miles from me!!
@@shaunanahodil8686 there are some who can sell online as well, I want to say her site says who is online also :) I didn’t use any water with this one 💕💕💕
I love the layering of paint even more than the blending of paint. I am currently working on two Thomasville nightstands where I am layering stain. It is looking amazing. You are an inspiration and are quite brave in what you do. Thank you.
Thank you Patty!! I am having so much fun!! I will not ever be exclusive to anyone ever again even if I use specifics over and over I will always make sure I have the freedom to use whatever I want and whatever you all want to know about :)
I love how this turned out! Layered effects are my favorite. So much depth and character shows through each layer. I have to try WoodUBend sometime soon, such a fun product. Perfect stencil choice too. Ahhh, new beauty shots song! Ch-ch-ch-changes... and that's awesome 😍
Beautiful piece, I truly appreciate your attention to detail and that you stay true to who you are as an artist. Thank you you for another great tutorial...Happy New Year to you and yours...❤️
Really pretty look and fabulous transformation! Have to try some of these techniques...although I'm not a huge fan of distressing, you make it look fabulous! Love how you are trying different lines of paint as there are so many choices out there! Annie Sloan paint was the first brand I tried and it's great for certain looks...textures and blending...love their pearlescent glaze. Happy New Year to you and your family! Hope 2022 brings y'all back to the States!
Beautiful piece! I really love that old world look! The dry brush blending was really interesting and a new technique for me to see. Thanks for sharing. Happy New Year!
I love this! The very first thing I ever painted was Louis Blue. The gold highlights look stunning 😍 the prefect touch. I have a little fear of distressing but need to mess around with it more often. I'm in a playful mood now that the dregs of East coast winter months are upon us. I finished that little Frida Khalo nightstand btw!
OOOH I would love to see that finished nightstand!!!!!Don't be afraid of distressing it can be a wonderful tool to just bring out a bunch of different colors and layers!!!!
