You can get a special hook that attaches to the inside of your dryer door for 5 to 10 bucks. It's perfect because your shoes aren't getting tossed about, due to the fact the hook is holding them in place, but they also retain their shape because of the shape of the insert that supports the shoe.
The heat overtime will damage the adhesive and form of the shoe which in turn is going to damage your feet, shins, back, etc. If you want to get your shoes dried quick you can also use a wet/dry vacuum on them then let them sit in the sun.👍
