When writing the Kali image to your USB drive be sure to select DD! Otherwise you'll get stuck with a cd-drive not found error during the kali installation. This should be pinned to the top of the comments.

Thanks alot for this, it worked like charm. For those that face issue after installing Kali and you reboot your PC but can't find Windows 10 in the GRUB menu, simply Enter Linux as Root and use this Command in the Terminal >> os-prober (Hit Enter) Again type >> update-grub (Hit Enter) Now turn off and On the PC to see your Windows 10 again

Hey all iam having an issue here...If i remove my USB stick i cant get my windows back...Once i restart the grub menu comes up after the computer company logo and says error: no such devices but then if i insert the USB stick again and restart it takes me to the dualboot screen where i can select to boot to windows or otherwise...But in the video it's told that i canr remove usb stick right?? Pls help ASAP

Fantastic video, but you may need to update it regarding the memory allocated for RAM. You wouldn't need to allocate the same or any higher x of your ram if you had 16GB of RAM. 3 or 4 GB is usually enough to store programs in hibernation (which will probably be the maximum use it will get into anyway). It was quite confusing for me last time but I did some research and 16GB for swap partition is definitely not needed and may cause the installation to fail due to the sheer size of the swap partition making little space for the ext4 partition...

i dual booted kali linux on my laptop but i shrinked secondary partition for kali linux so , the menu bootflag is remained off which has to be on ! so now after loading bootloaders of kali linux restarting pc shows kali linux , advance options for kali linux windows 8 and recovery for windows whereas i have windows 10 !! i still can boot windows by selecting boot option as ufei in boot menu and legacy support or leagucy first in boot prefernce for kali linux its really hectic to do so :-( so plz suggest me what to do so that it will boot both systems normally plz reply

After I click install it just comes up with the black screen with text such as "loop timed out" "timeout while waiting for setup device command" "device not accepting adress" "IOTLB_INV_TIMEOUT" and lots of hex code. Any idea what to do?

+Theo Constantinica No. As long as you overwrite the Windows bootloader with GRUB on the C: drive you'll be fine.

When I try to Install it, the first thing is I am not able to use my touchpad while installing. The second is while partitioning, it doesn't show me the exact partitions I have. Also the free space I created isn't visible. I have been trying to install this for a long time but I couldn't do it. I have three partitions in my hard drive. But it shows me 4 in Disk Management. Fast Startup will cause the PC too boot Windows instead of linux (using Hibernating for resume Windows after Shutdown(also it's isn't fully Shutdown), Restart isn't affected)

once it's installed it should pull up a grub menu as soon as it boots up if it doesn't then you need to modify your bios boot section so that kali linux is the first thing your computer boots too to get grub. if grub doesn't show the windows option then you have to go into kali linux and type in the terminal sudo update-grub.
