I got so overly frustrated with the other tutuorials that i quit and did 2 simple braids but watching this video made me feel slightly better maybe i will try when i am less mad at myself 😂
This is such a cute look! I love that you show the steps on your own head, it makes it easier to understand when trying it myself. The tutorial was very clear and easy to follow. I'm definitely going to practice this because summer is approaching in Australia and I think it's going to be hot.
THANK YOU PATTY! Watched your video twice, understood it, actually got the hang of it on the second braid, then went back and re-did the first braid!!! I was previously able to do dutch braids that go down the "sides" of my head, but always wanted to learn how to do the ones that go down the BACK of the head! I also never actually knew how to START any style of dutch braid, as in which direction to cross the strands first, and also didn't know that the whole "picking up hair" thing needed to start right away... I always did a plain braid for the first few crosses, then started picking up hair thereafter... no wonder those heatless waves always looked stupid at the front when I took the braids out... LMAO!!! This was my first try for this method, so I didn't fuss too much with the sectioning or tension. My braids are slightly loose and not entirely uniform, but I'm not bothered by that in the slightest because they look relaxed and beachy right now. AND they're going down the back of my head instead of the sides, so I'm SUPER HAPPY!!! I'm certain with practice it will improve! I found it easier to "not look" after I got through the first initial crossings as well lol. Btw, I did look at a few other tutorials over a year ago, and they were either confusing or painful for my neck and shoulders, so I stopped trying. THIS tutorial was TOTALLY DOABLE though!!! Thanks again for such an EPIIIIIIIC tutorial! Fawn 😊🩷 EDIT: it's the next morning, took out the braids, and the heatless waves are absolutely gorgeous!!! This is the first time in my life that I got noce looking heatless waves from dutch braids... SOOOOOOOOO HAPPY!!! 😍😍😍
Omg thank you so much for all the kind words! I really appreciate it!! 🥹 I’m glad you were able follow along the tutorial, i was worried it’s not understandable enough 😅 for me it’s switched- i never knew how to dutch braid through the side of my head, i’ve always done it like this idk why i find it easier 😂 hope you have a great weekend!! 💓
Is it easier to braid with wet or dry hair cause I have very thin hair and my hair gets in knots every time I try to add more hair!😢 It’s soooo frustrating!
It’s easier to do it a little wet in my experience! To avoid knots, try detangling your hair and applying a very lightweight leave in conditioner before braiding!
