Hi everyone! Welcome to our channel! Today we are showing you how you can diy your way into achieving silver/grey dreadlocks the easy way! All you need are the following:
Bleach of any kind(we used Wella Colorcharm)
30 Volume Developer(we used Clariol)
Adore me Color in Titanium
gloves
foil
brush and bowl
towel
purple toning shampoo (we used Walgreen's version)

You did well Cassandra, the silver looks great. Hope you do more hairy videos-Shawn has a lot to experiment with-locs/beard/stache etc. All looking good. Ask Shawn to do a video about his locs-what prompted him to first grow and what the reaction was from work/friends to the look, that would be interesting.

If I bleach my dreads more then once do you think that will help the color come out more vibrant?

I’m a licensed cosmetologist. The thing is you would generally need to use a 40 (even a 50... not recommended for unlicensed people) and be really fast and pull ALL of the pigment out of the hair in order to get a true white/silver color. With Locs most times you need A LOT of product because Locs (even small ones) are thick in perimeter and are not close to the scalp to receive heat for the process to move. Always recommended to do the scalp last if doing entire head as it will lighten faster than the rest of the hair. Generally the recommended time on the bottle doesn’t work for Locs because they are so think so I recommend using a professional but if you must do it yourself do a lot of research because it’s a lot to get this color without causing much breakage including aftercare.
