Great videos, I've been a POT viewer for about 18 months now, so far I've racked up 500K Aeroplan points and150K MR Select points by myself. I really do appreciate all the hard work you put behind your videos and instructional content. Keep it up !

@@PrinceofTravel I am amongst the singles, and I have no P2 (although I'd like to have one), because none of my friends likes to travel as much as I. Your videos ARE great, but often they make me sigh as a result...
I'm such a dummy. Maxed out my CIBC Aeroplan infinite privilage card. Hadn't thought about having the Amex one as well. Just signed up for it. Up to 110,000 bonus points. Thanks!
Yeah I skipped over them because their progress towards 1,000,000 would be less impactful. But they're a great way to collect points if you'd rather avoid fees.
can you chronicle your shanghai quarantine life?? i am very interested to see as I have seen videos pros and cons about it in china. thank you, love from canada.
TD agent told me that since amex is not under the visa umbrella you could earn another buddy pass since the TD/CIBC are under the visa umbrella. Not sure how true it is. Just passing along what he told me.
The terms and conditions do say it's one Buddy Pass per tier "regardless of issuer" but then again we haven't had many data points on how strictly that's enforced.
@@PrinceofTravel that's what i told the agent and what he said was " I can't name them by name since they are not a visa and it's against the rules. But I can tell you that the said other cards (amex) has no way of knowing you got a buddy pass since they are issues by the banks themselves and they don't share info".
Can I collect points by travelling with Transat? I also have a Miles and More Lufthansa points card, are those transferrable to Aeroplan Air canada card?
Hey my friend, is possible to ear points/miles buying things instead using only the credit card? And if so, where can I sell this this points and earn money?
how would this work? so I have the Aeroplan infinite card but upon asking both TD and Aeroplan, if I were to sign up for the infinite privilege I would not get the bonuses? or would I only not get the welcome bonus of 20k points and possibly no buddy pass (that's 30k points) and only receive 30k from the spending 1k in 3 months. do I have to make a new aeroplan account to receive the 50k plus buddy pass thats worth 30k and then combine the accounts? or dod I receive all the bonuses on the original account that has the infinite aeroplan card either way?
@@PrinceofTravel aa so id get the full 50k plus the buddy pass? Perfect. I just needed clarification because TD and aeroplan seemed unsure when I asked them especially since they have the restriction per customer. Thank you. I am going to TD this coming week to get the infinite priv :)
I pay my monthly mobile bill, my home internet bill, my transit pass which I top up at the pharmacy to reveive triple points, purchase gift cards, have it as my payment method for Ubereats. My dentist and physiotherapist take Amex... Fortunately/unfortunately I reach the monthly spend amount rather quickly.
I made the BIG mistake of applying for a TD AP Infinite Visa card at the end of October 2020, and as a result I cannot: - either receive a buddy pass, - or cancel and reapply to receive one... I think it is unfair, but that is the way it goes. Is there a way around that? Thanks for any suggestion!
I got the Infinite Privilege four months ago and I had to call three times to actually get my 50k Aeroplan welcome points, and I’m still waiting for my buddy pass four months after min. spend. At this rate, I’ll be an a Aeroplan Points (AP) millionaire in 20 years. I have points envy, Ricky. Question, please. If I get a buddy pass for a new Infinite Privilege (top tier), and I get a buddy pass for new Infinite (middle tier), and I get a buddy pass for a new AMAX Aeroplan (lowest tier), can I still get one or more buddy passes for business cards? How many buddy passes can one person accumulate? I appreciate your vids, thanks, especially the one where you talk about goals. My goal is two 1st class, multi-stop return tickets from Vancouver to Asia in 2022. Churning is taking much longer than I had hoped but I’m not giving up 😊. Thanks for you help.
It's normal for the TD Buddy Pass to take a long time. Thankfully, anyone who earns a Buddy Pass can convert it, regardless of when it posts to the account. The Amex Aeroplan is the same core tier as the Infinite cards, so you'd only be able to get one Buddy Pass from those. But yes you'd then be able to get a Buddy Pass from the business cards. One person can get up to 3 Buddy Passes from each tier (premium, core, small business) in a 12-month period. These Buddy Pass conversions will get you a long way towards your goal - and even better if your Player 2 signs up too 🙂
@@PrinceofTravel Thanks for the helpful information, Ricky. So I understand clearly, are you saying that it’s possible for one person to accumulate and convert 9 buddy passes in one year? Hope your quarantine goes well
@@christurner2340 No, the three tiers are called premium, core, and small business. You can get one buddy pass per year from each tier. Thus, that makes 3 buddy passes per year total per person.
Ricky, what has been your experience with receiving the sign up bonus on amex cards you've previously held? I was recently denied my bonus on the bonvoy cc because I'd held that card in the past, so now I'm worried to sign up to the platinum card again.
@@PrinceofTravel If I already have the card I can not get this cashback right? Just if I used this link to apply for the card for the first time, correct?
I’ve been holding 500k and they all got devalued with the last set of changes. By the time the pandemic is over I should be at 1 million 🤩. #Revenge travel
Brilliant content!! LOVE it. Now I need to go add up all of our points so far, and get on with signing up for the buddy pass conversion cards ASAP :) Million points.... ooooh!
Thanks for the helpful information. Do you think Marriott will follow suit and offer points for their certificate redemption ? They recently extended the expiry date on the certificates due to the plandemic 😜
Dude is on a points high . Summary of the vid: open up all their cards and who cares about your credit score. I hope theyre giving you points for this video
Don't mean to hate I love your content but basically, you are advising people to apply for 5 credit cards? That would hurt your credit bureau quite a bit... You would bring your credit age down massively and there are so many expert opinions on the fact that more than 2-3 credit cards are a red flag when you want to get a mortgage etc. Unless your plan is to over time get these cards and after stacking the points by meeting the min spend, transfer the point to your Aeroplan account and then cancel the cards? How do you basically plan to do this without hurting your credit too much?
