This is how I remove window tint. You only need a black trash bag, windex with ammonia, razor blade, and a sunny day. This is a lot faster and easier than I used to do it. Windex with ammonia: www.amazon.com...
I’ve had my car since 2013. When I purchased it, Dodge had already placed limo tint on it. Now, for 10 years I have NEVER been stopped or cited for my tint in the many cities and states that I’ve lived. I returned home to Louisiana (which my car has been registered here before) here they come with the f***ery… I dragged because I didn’t want to remove it but knew I had to. Your video helped me big time.. FYI, I didn’t need the heat apparently …I wiped it down with a soapy towel, sprayed windex, and the garbage bag was on there for about 5 minutes lol.. both windows are clean!! Thanks!!
I'm about to visit my parents in Louisiana, and they need this done so they can get their car's registration renewed there. They bought their car new from the dealership in another state with the tint on it. Louisiana OMV are f***ers.
I just finished following his instructions and IT REALLY WORKED!!!!!🤗 OMG!! I asked all the auto stores here in Hilo Hawaii and none of them could suggest how. I was dubious about this trick - but I have to say it totally worked. I got the tint off of 2 windows with just a scraper, the windex with ammonia and black garbage bags... thanks so much for this helpful tip

Unbelievable, it works a treat! I only had blue trash bags but they worked too. I didn't leave the first one on long enough, so most of the glue was still on it. Some windex and a micro fibre cloth got it off relatively easy. Legendary video!

Just used some of your advice. Was film on the front windshield. Just cranked up the defroster and sprayed with the ammonia. Razor blade to get off. Came off perfectly.
I just bought a used car and the shop said I can't pass (NY) inspection because previous owner (AZ) put too dark tint on front driver and passenger side windows. Wanted $200 to have their "detailer" take it off. Windex and black trash bag for me! Nice no nonsense video, thanks.
@@etc-and-more I did use original Windex, let it sit in the sun for 30 minutes with the trash bag. Some of it came off easy and some didn’t. Used 409 and wha~la, peeled off easily!

@@etc-and-more It truly works better than the windex. I’ve had tint on my Kia forte for 11 years and just now the cops are on my ass for it. All I gotta do now is tackle the windshield and I’ll be done.

Should’ve just rolled down ur windows and took out the window fuse for the inspection. They can’t fail you for windows not working. And they won’t be able to see the tint
I just finished following your instructions and it worked. I took off that of the windshield without the Windex product. Used a blade for windshield and it worked perfectly just like the windex I used on the windows. Thanks sir!
Deland Kume What did you do or use to keep and hold the trash bag up against the windshield? Am planning on doing the same on my car’s windshield tint too coz the strip the installer put on was too thick (more than 4 inches). Don’t want to get pulled over because of it.
It works.... Am amused .... Thank you very much. I just used a glass cleaner, dunno what brand... It works amazingly. I did it in the morning n by 12, removed in 1 perfect piece soooo easily, just use a nails filer to peel off the side a little bit... Magic!!!
I have a 03 G35 the back window..... Yeah... Total PIA to get to and the spray runs before I can get the plastic stuck... So... I took out of curiosity. I did it on the outside of the window. It worked pretty good. I had minimal clean up from a few peel tear runners, other than that I am impressed.
So, I'm currently removing my tints on my challenger and i shii you not this shii worksss!! I love it!! Thank you ill save some money tomorrow re-tinting it🙏 thank you so much for showing us! I'm using windex original, foam class cleaner, trash bag and a card oh and a blade to cut the trash bags. Again thank you for sharing you video i appreciate it !! 🙏
Looks really simple. Can't wait to try it on 2000 GMC pickup truck. The guys at the tint shop want to charge $140 to remove and an additional $160 to install new. Thanks a bunch.
@@BlaQSheep NO! I was able to pick at the top corner and it peeled it off enough for me to get a grip on it! Also if in a hurry, use a heat gun or blow dryer on the outside to warm up the glue
U can also use pure ammonia. Works really well. I only wish I figured this out before spending hours with a razor blade cleaning up tint and glue... Really wasted my time.
The easiest way to remove window tint is with an electric space heater. Put it inside the car and crank the heat all the way up for an hour or two depending on the outside temperature. The tint peels right off once you get it started.
I’ve been tinting for almost 20 years. All you need is soapy water and a razor blade. It takes about 2 minutes for a side window. This method is what we use for the back window because there is a defroster which you can’t use a razor blade on. You don’t need windex. Soapy water water works perfectly fine.
I think windex is used just because it’s easier. It’s already bottled with a sprayer instead of mixing of soapy water. Plus the ammonia helps with the glue removal.
Thank you for the tips! I was able to remove the tint in one clean piece. Is it possible to put the tint back at some time if I keep it? Right now I'm in New York and we cannot have tint on the front windows, which is the only reason I removed it.
Will this trick work on tint on bubbling back window? I'm seeing videos of people heating the back window with a steamer. I just went to a tinting place and they want to charge me $100 just to take it off
Just got a ticket for my 20% tint and they say $50 to remove it. My question is was your tint professionally installed or was that tint you put on yourself ? Asking because that could make a huge difference. Please respond
