Devlin actually. it’s a really weird detail I only noticed today, if you didn’t know. Left handed guns are very common and most of the time on sale since people arent left handed, it can be very awkward to use a left handed gun. Especially in combat. why do does this matter? You can see the sole surviver being awkward with the gun. and for gun enthusiasts (like me) can notice that he (or she depending on which gender you choose) racks the bolt awkwardly. What you should do is not raise the firearm upward. but the opposite keep it still and very close to the shoulder for saving time and putting it back on your shoulder, and he should know this because in case you forgot. HE WAS IN THE MILITARY, With all guns in the commonwealth. He should be at least fairly capable of operating. With some obvious exceptions. Like pipe guns. Melee weapons. (Which is a whole other topic he barley knows how to use a sword he just swings it around like a madman) and other weapons, like weird guns he never encountered before Or Bethesda is just very bad animators and I’m over analyzing,
I once heard that if you use these batons long enough, then you can actually close them with your hands. If that's the case then Aiden has beaten quite a few skulls with that thing.
This could’ve been useful 5 and a half years ago when I randomly found one at my grandpas house, and I decided to open it, but couldn’t close it again, so I smashed it down in my hand with the tip first and I broke 2 bones in my hand👍🏻
Kyle Oien Nah that’s still too easy. Gotta perform a ritual, pray to your gods, and devise a ruth goldberg machine for the express purpose of closing a steel baton for it to be considered standard and not easy.

Never thought about owning one , my dad had one few years back though, it couldn't close because of how bent it was. I dont know who took that beating but glad it wasn't me.

Does anybody remember the old plastic lightsabers that would expand bit by bit, so you'd have to forcibly push the lightsaber to the floor to shrink it again? This kinda reminds me of it.
@@Jimmyknapp2 Wow! That never happened to me, so I consider myself lucky. I have around 3 of those in my house and the only problem I have with them is when they break your fingers.
I could probably attribute 40% of my current skill using my baton to these things. They really don't make em like they used to, the plastic is so thin, oof.

I have a baton myself and I always closed it with my hands. It's hard to do at first but after a while, you do get used to it.... my question for Aiden Pearce is how does he fit all those weapons in one jacket pocket

My mother's looks similar to that one and she always twisted it closed. All it needed was a bit of a twist to the segment closest to the handle and the whole thing would collapse back down. Her's had a flashlight attachment on the end that took the place of the end cap though. It was also twist to turn on.
We recently purchased an expandable baton for when we walk our dogs. It might seem simple but we had absolutely no idea how to expand or close one as we had never used one before. Thanks for the video and straightforward explanation! 🙏

@@KathTheFox baton is normal or expandable, you know the black thing police men have, like if you seen american movies every cop has baton there, but not the expandable, in movies i think they always have classic baton. In my country police men have batons i think some have expandable now

I remember when I was younger I found and was playing with my father's extending/collapsible baton. Without his knowledge of course. When I was done I was just going to collapse it like a toy lightsaber and no one would know. Boy was I wrong. It just wouldn't give. I smacked it on everything to get it to go back in but it just wouldn't. Eventually I ended up taking it to my father and he collapsed it with no effort.
OH MY GOD I am the only one here who actually works with a metal baton on a semi regular basis and in the event that I ever do use it this video will have helped make my life a little bit easier
The point of the video is more about the grip. If you got your whole hand clasped around it’s harder to close the baton as apposed to pencil gripping it.
I never had any issue closing my baton, it's very easy to close but still doesn't close on its own. It's a nice one, but it does happen to be illegal to carry one in my state so it mostly stays at home. I'm not quite sure why this video was made and I genuinely wonder if anyone actually asked you this question cuz it's beyond easy and simple to close a baton. Why would someone be scared to hit it on the ground? Also, this is random but I think it's absolutely ridiculous that it's illegal to carry one in New Jersey. It's a very simple and effective means of self defense, and if someone has one for bad intentions the law is not going to prevent them from carrying it. You're primarily hurting honest people who want to feel safer
They should be illegal, I carried one as a cop and unless you're highly trained they're the easiest weapon to disarm from someone. Also highly ineffective against a much larger enemy or someone suffering from psychosis. Pepper spray is by far superior.

After a 30-minute workout attempting to collapse my batons 2 of them brand-new out the box right after they were fully extended. The middle cylinder would collapse just by tapping it in your hand. The first one wouldn't even collapse after striking it several times with a 5-pound hammer hitting it. It's jam your video makes my (2 )26 inch Smith & Wesson's look defective

If they aren't illegal where you live an expandable baton is a good weapon for self defense. It can collapse into pocket size and you can practice to swing it out in one quick move if you need it. Longer than a knife, can break bones, probably won't beat a gun unless you're like a ninja and they're close and very slow. Don't try it. Unless they're already going to shoot you.
