As a reminder, as stated in the video, I do not recommend using the tailgate push pins mentioned below. However, in a pinch they will work.

Your video really does work. There are indeed 10mm x eight nuts in the tail gate that need Loctite. The tall blue plastic studs are pilot studs and they help align the shorter yellow studs. Big tip is to get pilot studs in and gently press the yellow studs in. Many thank for your brilliant advice video 👍

Love the video! Very informative, I had a similar issue as well but I tightened the hell outta a few nuts and it stopped it, probably should have added some loctite

I think this is finally the video I’ve been looking for. My 17 srt tailgate drives me notes with the vibration in the back on dirt roads. Could I send you a video to see if it sounds like the same issue?

@@christopherpatterson824 that sounds like a metal on metal vibration noise. Definitely could be loose nuts which are covered in my video. I'd pull that back apart and listen again and use a flash light to see exactly where the noise is coming from.

Also check the exterior spoiler at the top of the rear hatch. Ours was rattling against the window.

@@henderthing Oh wow, I am sorry to hear that. I haven’t noticed a rattle since my fiancé adjusted the seatbelt on the passenger side. I am curious as to how to tighten the rear spoiler. I hope you can get those rattles resolved; best of luck!
