It's a shame that you have to do all that just to get someone's views, are we really so bored that we say 'Ok Thrill me' We the listeners also need to engage we have become so lazy and bored, it's no good to just have a great song, we have to dress it up in glitter so that some algorithm created by a bunch of bread heads will get it and churn it out. I really loath what this world has become.
I like how one of the video examples you used to show an account that uses interesting title names is titled simply Artist - Song name (official video) which you specifically listed as an example of an uninteresting title

Great advice that I plan on using. No pushback from me, but I do have one question… Isint this all a big problem? Good thumbnails, short videos, get straight to the point, specific titles…. Isint this taking away from the art? I think so a bit. Just like music itself is suffering so are music videos… due to artists making what is going to work in an algorithm rather than just making really dope art purely from the soul. A lot of great music is being made by artists all over the world that can’t get any attention because Spotify doesn’t add it to certain playlists, RU-vid doesn’t push it, etc… because the art doesn’t fit the algorithms mold. Now we have artists acting more as social media experts and figuring out what’s gonna bring the most views instead of just making what they feel. Just a thought, pay me no mind.

No, just the opposite. If you pay for Google ads, most people will only watch 1 second and it tanks your data. The algorithm will push out a new video that has a lot of comments, likes and views in the first two hours, for example. We regularly get new views on most of our videos without RU-vid/Google advertising. It's just the algorithm showing it to people. Facebook ads are expensive to promote to RU-vid, but now we add a RU-vid tab to our landing page for Facebook ads and about 10% go to RU-vid, but the CPR is pretty low. Your best bet is to get a lot of engagement the first day, especially the first two hours. Now we post at noon on Saturday because more people are available and do a live right when the video is released.
Does RU-vid hold back your video from being seen if you turn off the Ads???? My channel doesn't have enough subscribers for monetization so I figure let people get right to the content.

So i did 3 videos that all are one big video with cliff hangers at the end of each one and a single tied to each one. I released these last year with no promotion. Im thinking of putting all 3 together and releasing it as 1 video. Thoughts?
2 minutes seems the best length for a music video and then it's also less work to make it. Means make more songs with only 2 parts, It's less work and you get more views. But ofc you can also do 3 minutes but i would say keep it at 2 especially at the beginning because u have to release alot when u start!

And I understand what you're saying about views, and this isn't directed to you, but damn, can't people sit still and watch something for three and a half to five minutes anymore?
Ha ha I remember you said this once before and I renamed all my videos "10 cent videos" and nothing happened so I got some self respect and renamed them "song name / acoustic" or whatever... No offence I like your videos usually

Thumbnails are always important. In the past I have altered them mid-campaign and have seen tremendous results. If re-posting to Facebook, however, one may need to manually refresh the link in order to Facebook to retrieve the latest thumbnail. In a worst case condition one needs to refresh the thumbnail from the Facebook Developer tool page. Btw, the new lighting, background, and audio on this video is much better.
