@@KimagineDIY and the cool thing is there’s so much to learn from many right here on RU-vid! 🥳. Anytime I want to build something, this is the first place I start! My brother who’s a general contractor just rolls his eyes at me haha 😎
Great Question! I made it removable incase we need to get to water box. These brackets comes with smaller screws to secure your wood shelf to them if you want it fixed (but the laundry units are in the way). I wanted the shelf as low as possible to the unit and this J bracket design allows me to do achieve the look.
Hi Lee, I referenced in the video 0:59 Measure for shelves & Bracket design. I wanted my shelf 10" deep and I cut a 6ft board to the width I needed for my laundry room. Below the video In the description box, I reference all the links for the tools and materials I used. But here is my Amazon link for the brackets I used. Shelf Brackets 4PCS Heavy Duty amzn.to/39Fs0Xw You can buy the brackets for an 8", 10", or 12" depth shelf. I hope I answered your questions well and thank you so much for watching!
Thank you so much for watching and reaching out with your question! Since I do a lot of DIY projects, I invested in an advanced stud finder that can detect pipes within walls. In the video description, I’ve linked to the materials I used, including two types of stud finders. The one with the LEDs on top is the same one I used in the video. Additionally, I used a step stool to look behind each washer and dryer to get an idea of where the lines and pipes start going into the walls. I hope this information is helpful for you!
