If I ever have o go at this I most definitely will acknowledge you! I was a potter for nine years. Adapting clay, plaster of Paris, acrylic painters, resin, frame and recessed hanging hook is brilliant. You are a master. Thank you 🙏🏼. I subscribed to you ages ago but today I am binge watching your Chanel (lying sick in bed ) plus an extra bargain you are a real person with a great personality!😊 I too never know when to stop 🤣regards Yvié Sunflower 🌻
WOW! Stunning! I have been glued to this video (cold coffee now) you make it so interesting and informative. Has anyone told you what a fantastic teacher you are? not only do you demonstrate and talk through every step, but also you give us the 'dos' and 'don'ts'. I don't think you have any idea just how good you are, not only in what you do and your ideas, but the inspiration you give to others. Thank you so very much. xx 😊 😘
Aww, Linny, you said that perfectly. I totally agree. This is one hell of a brilliant crafter and tutor and so generous with her knowledge. Well said x
Your process is absolutely amazing. The results would never have two alike. That's what I like about resin. Its fluidity is there to draw you into overworking it. But I think you just push the bar each time. I love watching. Thank you!
Just WOW, you are a genius. That was ALOT of work. I don't think I'm up to this, but I LOVE watching you and your creativity. Thank you so much for sharing with us mere mortals
One of the best tutorials I have seen,,,just love it ..Lovely northern accent ,just cannot place it at the moment ,,Newcastle way I think ,,let us all know
I really enjoyed watching the process and it turned out so beautiful 😍 you really are one talented lady... thankyou so much for sharing your wonderful work with us 😊
Louise, what a beautiful piece, this tutorial was so cool. May I make a suggestion? The resin was too deep and that’s when you don’t get good lacing. Sometimes it’s also the resin. It looks like a thinner resin which is not the best for lacing. But you could have let it sit for a while before putting the waves on, let it thicken up a bit. Lacing works best in a thin layer of resin. I hope you don’t mind. I’ve learned this along the way. I just love this piece. ♥️♥️♥️♥️
This channel is amazing Louise! I love all the mixed media you use, so when I buy all the supplies I’ll tell my husband Louise made me do it! Looks fantastic
Hi Louise, great video! I am about to embark on paint pouring, the artists recommend adding silicone oil to the paint to achieve lacing, I bought Pebeo brand from Amazon U.K. I am avidly watching your resin videos to gain from your vast experience - to make a memorial for my late dogs ashes as I don’t want to waste them. A hug for you & your beautiful furbabe 🤗🤗
Thank you so much, yes silicone oil can be used with resin to create cells but it can be a problem if you want to add more resin on top. I’m so glad you are enjoying my videos. I think ashes would be great in a memorial pyramid but I would experiment with something small first to get a feel for how they look. Good luck!
@@LouiseSingletonCreations because I am such a newbie I have settled for a heart coaster but in preparation I have a tiny paw mould to contain his ashes & have used UV resin for that part. I will laminate his fur, his paw print & a pic of him to go inside 💙 It’s still very raw being only 3 weeks so I’m taking it in stages 😢 I recognise your accent as I’m in Sheffield U.K. 😁
Oh Addie, I can imagine how you must be feeling. Until I had a dog I never understood the way people connected with them and were so broken by their loss but now I have Honey I get it! That little pooch is like having a third child and I love her so, so much. I’m sure it will get better for you with time and I’m sure that making your memorial pieces will help you a lot.
Very pretty! If you would like some really crisp white resin paste for waves here is my secret! I mix titanium dioxide white pigment powder with resin only. Mix this really well with a bit of resin only. Mix this with a flat palette knife on a clean flat surface until ALL of the powder is dissolved. Keep mixing until you have a thick pure white paste. Put it in a small jar and you will always have white for nice crisp white waves. I keep an extra jar with one drop of silicone in it for waves with lots of cells. You just add a tiny bit of this to your regular resin mixture. You will save so much money by making this yourself and it will last your for months! ;)
Oh my, you are so creative! I love your channel and you definitely deserve more subs! Your voice is so sweet I could listen for hours and hours.😃 I follow a lot of pouring artists and I think I could put a link to your videos in the comments here and there.☺️ I don’t make any videos of my pieces bc I don’t have the time to pour on a schedule and I‘m even not good enough to show my paintings. Stay as you are, Louise.🥰
learning so much from you and love your variety in your work. I have found I get good cells and lacing when I blow the white over an extra layer of clear that I pour just before adding the white. Just a line of clear, then white, then blow. Does that make sense?
May I ask, Louise - if you were doing this again, would you still use stonecast, or now that it's appeared on the scene, would you use Aquacast instead? It's a fabulous project - I love it even before you added colour to the piece. Thanks for sharing your fabulous creations with us. 🙏🏼
@Ron-Ayres thank you for the nudge! Great question. If I wanted it white again I would probably still use stonecast, it worked well and I used a LOT so it would be cheaper to stick with that. However if I wanted to colour it in the mixing stage I would use AquaCast.
You know you should pat yourself on the back for doing a wonderful job in combining many different medias. I have many of those mats already cut since I used to do custom framing and I have most of the materials you used even have the clay but a different type ...Was wondering what kind of clay you used but you said you had the material list. I really love how that came out and I appreciate the time taken out to share with us... very creative mind . was looking for something to have some texture in my resin piece I had a completely different idea that is how I came across this video VERY glad I did very cool
This is beautiful :) I love incorporating different effects into most of my work. I would love if you wouldn't mind if I used some of your creation? As I've been looking to do an air, water & fire 3-piece set! This just made my entire day:) Just something to fit in with the 3 totally different pieces, but enough for it all to tie together! AGAIN, BEAUTIFUL WORK!!
awesome. what is the black thingy you put on chopping board. I wish you would show every single step of the process instead of editing like taping to board. it is lovely.
Thank you. It is just sticky backed vinyl. You can use any smooth adhesive plastic. Sometimes I have to find a balance between giving too much detail and not enough otherwise the video would be too long but I do understand the frustration.
wow I love this, I noticed when you removed the clay it was still soft is it reusable or do you have to discard it ? I'm a new subscriber and I'm loving catching up on your back catalogue of brilliant videos you are 1 very talented lady and inspire me to try every piece you share with us so a huge thank youvxx
Haha thanks Paula, I’m glad you found your answer. As you saw, the clay can be reused but it will be quite dry so I would recommend storing it in an airtight container with a wet paper towel in there also.
