The idea of being a guide rather than a guru is the biggest takeaway for me from this, it has lifted a huge weight off my shoulders of having to do a lot of research. I'm working on a video now and the process feels easier and even more enjoyable
What the reason for all samll creator, why we are not growing fast? I think we all small creator must collab with each other to help all small creator What you think ?????????????
@@Bizz_sparkler I agree with that. There´re is a whole army with small creators. If we combine our forces together this gonna happen: 1. Both our audience will see both our content. 2. Creating a video from 2 different angles. 3. Having a bigger and stronger network!!

Just started my youtube joruney, hope if you are ready this comment you are crushing it already. Wondering how long it take for the algorithm to know your audience. Never give up!
I just watched this video from start to finish. I have watched 100's of how to videos on this subject and only got through 50% of the video. I got very Discouraged on even starting. This video I think has really helped me. You explained the whole process and made it sound so easy. In the next few days I will try making me a video on a grammar book I wrote for grade 1. Thank you for your insperation.

Omg it’s amazing. So helpful. Some part of me knew it was possible to summarize your script in keywords but I made the mistake of listening to “gurus” who advise to write your hook and intro super neat instead of listening to my intuition. I’ve recently moved to something lighter and the filming process is way more fluid and enjoyable because of effective spontaneity. Thanks for that refreshing advice!
The "Being a guide, not a guru" point is so good. Why would I want to watch a guru with a huge ego, whose whole idea is to convince people he's such a cool guy, not to provide any value? 🤷♂️

Intro. Optional but recommended. It's a good way to think about yourself in relation to the content of the video, whether you include it or not. Just writing out an intro has given me some great ideas.

Completely new at this RU-vid thing, I only have 200 subscribers, but I learned so much from this video. HIVES, that's genius! 😍 Thanks, Ali and Think Media!
Chat GPT Prompt - I'm about to publish my first video in English. Being a native Dutch speaker, I've created an awesome prompt to generate RU-vid scripts... Here is the PROMPT, I hope you enjoy it: I want to create 5 viral video ideas on a specific subject. First, ask me which subject I'd like to focus on and wait for my response. Then, ask me who the target audience is and what their pain points are, and pause for my answer. Next, ask me what their biggest problem is, and wait for my answer. After gathering this information, generate 5 controversial statements about the subject. The first part of each statement must be a fact, the second part must be a controversial opinion that makes people think. Format them like [fact] even if / though [opinion]. Make the statement easy to read. Number each statement. Ask me which numbers should be changed and wait for my input. Replace the selected numbers with new, distinct controversial statements. Shorten each statement to a maximum of 4 words that capture the essence for a thumbnail. Create a table with five columns: 1. Video Title: Rewrite the statement into a highly engaging and curiosity-driven title for the video. 2. Controversial Statement: The full controversial statement. 3. Shortened Statement: The controversial statement condensed into four words for the thumbnail. 4. Thumbnail Description: Describe a visually appealing thumbnail that would attract clicks. 5. 30-Second Hook: Write a 30-second hook that grabs attention and makes viewers want to watch the video. After completing the table, ask me which video idea I should write a script for. Wait for my selection. Wait for me response. Ask me how many words the script should be and tell me that 1500 words is approximately 10 minutes of video. Write a RU-vid script based on that idea. Make it as long as suggested. Divide the script into sections. Start with a 30-second hook based on the chosen idea, then create a narrative that debunks myths, provides solutions, and gives examples. Ensure the script is engaging, relatable, and connects personally with the viewer. -- when finished -- >> Can you do a bit of research on the topic and make the script 2100 words long? >> Can you add a 'lifetruth of the heart' that's an eye-opener for viewers?
i love this. so much new amazing ideas for someone like me who's still trying to figure out how to write effective scripts for our own videos. so many valuable takeaways. btw, i checked ali abdaal's channel and it showed i am already subscribed and set the notification to All. BUT how come i don't see him on my wall? also, i check the playlists and i am inspired and encourage because ali's got playlists of various topics. i am struggling with my channel because as a grade school science teacher as well as video creation-editing enthusiast i am worried that i'm messing up my channel by posting vids for two different types of audience (one side is for the students, on the other side video creating enthusiasts). if ali abdaal can have different niches in one channel, i guess i can do the same in my own channel.
I am trying to record my voice reading the 'script' and then adding clips and pictures on it. It's not necessary to show your face every time. I don't know how algorithm works, but I think personal satisfaction is the key.

@@Bizz_sparkler Definitely. But there should be some connection too. So the audience who's watching Creator-1 might be interested in what Creator-2 is doing. Otherwise, it could do more harm than good to the channel. That's what I think.
How do you do an end screen pitch for a video that does not exist yet??? If Video 2 is an extension/ perfect next step for a viewer, but I haven’t recorded and uploaded it yet, how does that work?

Now that's the face value. I clicked on video for Ali, started watching for Ali and then the intro says "Press record" only to realize its think media channel not Ali.

nice video, but would u repeat ever and ever that intro? i never paid attention on an intro when im watching content, regular i search for something specific und watch the first 2-4 videos on that topic if one video is good i check out the channel if there is more stuff like that. i dont care about millions of subs or views even a new content creator can do good stuff.
i wished for this topic but now i maybe missunderstood some points: 1) no need to do research .. sound a bit "low value" or even dangerous cause things one say could simply be wrong. there have to be a source of knowlage or so .. right ? 2) only having a small numbres of infos to talk about .. i personally like a high density of information (especially if the video sees itself as educational) only having 3 infos could mean one can make a 2 minutes video oooor a 15 minutes video with 2 minutes value and 13 minutes blabla can someone please get this straight for me ?😊
1) Assumes that you know the topic beforehand, either by having expertise, having done the research, or having personal experience to share - the guide vs. guru thing. Of course, you should make sure that the information is correct. 2) The points he's putting down on paper are only the headlines. If you have 2-3 sub-points to talk about as well as a personal insight, you can easily make a very information-dense video of more than 10 mins. The overall message is that it's much more efficient to make a bullet point list instead of a full script, which can easily take 10 hours to write.
Great content, my struggle is I'm honestly trying to grow my finance channel with REAL information, side jobs that I've done, investments I've made etc, unfortunately promising $5000 day passive income videos crush me.
