John, thank you, you make it so simple, but it's not that simple for me. Camera's with LEICA, ZEISS and Nikon lenses are my favored. But why they're so complicated with so many useless features. beeps 3 times before taking a picture, then 3 fast clicks, asking save the image? then frozen screen, features not needed... on and on. I subscribed to your channel and can hardly wait.

Hmm... cameras ARE high-tech these days and VERY complicated. I know not everyone wants to spend time learning everything about cameras. But I would encourage you not to give up on using a real camera and consider taking time to learn more advanced features. You can do so much more with a real camera than a cell phone! You can find a RU-vid tutorial on almost anything, as you know. So have fun and explore :)

Thank you so much for this video! The Settings menu for the AFS / AFF / AFC is hard to find, as the symbol suggests "Video", to me at least. Through your help I got the right setting so it can do autofocus following on pictures! Thank you! :) I use it with 10 Seconds / 3 Pictures mostly.

Thank you so much my dude! Finally an simple guide to why I bought the camera. Vacation photo's. Small question, does this iA also setup for taking photo's in low light?

If you notice on the bottom of the screen, it says iISO. That means the camera will automatically set the ISO or sensitivity level according to how much light you have up to ISO 800. It will also set the aperture as wide open as it can depending on the zoom you choose with the ring around the lens. To get the best low light performance, set the zoom all the way down to 24. At 24mm, in low light, the LX10 will set the aperture wide open to f/1.4 to let in the most light and ISO will be also set at 800 which is the highest sensitivity for good quality. Hint: when shooting in low light the shutter speed will be lower also, light 1/60 sec. So to get a sharp picture, it helps to lock your elbows to your chest or, better yet, lean the camera to a stationary object like a wall or pillar. To set the ISO higher for even lower light work, you would need to go to one of the other modes, such at the "P" mode. Then you can set the ISO manually to a higher number but with more graininess by pressing the Fn3 button.

I made it myself. I just got some adhesive-backed Velcro and some fake fur and made it with some very fine detail cutting with a scalpel. This guy shows one he bought but I couldn't find that one when I got my LX10. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gcSqb62A5uo.html

John thank you for this video and I see you love the Lord! What audio should I use for better improvement for picking up better sound? THKS

Thank you Jordan. Yes, I am a follower of Christ. Two things that help me stay focused on and loving God more are being an avid listener to Southern Gospel quartet music and studying Christian apologetics! I watch a ton of RU-vid videos on apologetics and listen to several podcasts. Now for your question. There are two things that might help your audio. The first is to make a wind muff for the LX10. I made my own because I couldn't find the one mentioned here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-s-mF3xh8E5A.html This is not a real solution, but does help with wind noise but does require a lot of finesse and fiddling to make one! Also you can record your audio separately and sync to the video recording with editing software. This is the best way, but requires more effort and some expense. Here are a couple of videos about this. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MPTekwdilmkh.htmlttps://ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zirB6og6vZ0.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zirB6og6vZ0.html&t=12s Hope this helps!

I want to take Northern Light picture. Can you tell me what mode I should setting?
@FourKnown

Hello Pacharavaliai! This is a difficult subject to answer with a short entry here and would require another tutorial if you aren't an experienced photographer. But basically, you should use a tripod, manual exposure mode with the lens as wide as possible, aperture to f/1.4, shutter speed about 1/4 sec and set with the 2-second delay and ISO to 3200 and focus on a distant light. This may require a little trial and error too. For more information, Google this: HOW TO PHOTOGRAPH NORTHERN LIGHTS - BEST SETTINGS AND TIPS Or one of the SCENE settings might work well. Just move the mode dial to the "SCN" position. Then select one of the night modes like "Romantic Sunset Glow" or "Clear Nightscape" and shoot on a tripod probably and use the 2-sec timer to avoid vibration. You can try it handheld. It might just surprise you! I would at least try to steady the camera up against a solid object if possible though.To set the 2-sec delay, use the button below the "Menu/Set" button. For a 10-second delay, hit "More Settings" on that menu. Hope this helps!
