@@robloxfan5467 It all depends on the person. Some people like caviar, some not so much. Heck, my mom doesn't like caviar and likes normal fish eggs more.
Lol, true tho. I had cheap caviar once. It was good with fried chicken. Complements to my pot tho. Also, I will say thx to the guys who recommended me to try caviar with fried chicken as well as the ones who recommended the perfect spices which paired with said chicken. Amazing.
@@rhdrbob lmfaoo. He's saying he's dissapointed because of them being an endangered species. Sure he could be salty, but he has a point. No need to come after him.
The cost actually has nothing to do with the taste. Almost 30 years ago that same tin of caviar would have cost you maybe $100 or even less. The problem is the sturgeon where caviar comes from is only found in a couple bodies of water across the world. Most of them have been completely fished out and the last one in Russia is almost completely fished out as of right now. I think it's the Caspian sea. If you want to try caviar there are environmentally friendly types of caviar. One comes out of France that I heard is quite exquisite and tastes exactly like the real thing. A sturgeon has to grow for almost 20 years to be able to produce eggs. So whenever you're eating those pearls they were something a fish worked on for basically as long as most of us have been alive.
@@moon_krendelsestate The price is a bit higher, 25000₽ for half a kilo. That is for a wild-caught fish, which is by the way illegal, but you can still find this caviar in the markets of Moscow. Not sure about other cities. As ruble fluctuates a lot, 25000₽ have cost from 208$ to 500$ in the last two years
I did. My uncle bought wagyu, some kind of expensive fish, black and red caviar to a family dinner. Red caviar isn't expensive though so i suggest you to try it
I have caught sturgeon in the Wisconsin dells in the United States. I have caught a 40 inch one before. And almost a 50 inch one. Sturgeon are amazing, if you manage to catch a massive one you can keep it and eat it. My dad and grandpa in the 90’s once caught a legal one and ate it. They said it tasted like salmon but better. There caviar is amazing too. Truly an amazing fish
@@pinkgaewhistle9631 I know, it truly is sad, we don’t do it anymore because how much we glorify the fish. Its been a tradition for around 30 years of my dad and my grandpa going up there, and they just recently added me to the mix. They regret eating the fish though.
I just bought a little jar of caviar to try with my family around the holidays. When I was young, I wanted to try caviar so bad and one time my very hard-working lumber mill form and father came home with a jar of caviar just for me. I was thrilled! Then he said "well aren't you going to share it?" My mother and brother were Rarely nice to me and often mean to me then, i was quiet and kept to myself, so I looked at him and said no I was going to put it on my shelf and look at it ( it was a gift for me,yes?) So, thats what i did. i cherished that something he thought was wasteful and frivilous, being such a moutain man, he would actually get for me because he loved me. He was the most thoughtful 🥰. It's okay though we can split this jar of caviar I bought now. No this wasnt $200😂 it was $8.
"Each of this little tins can cost up to 700" well yeah but no, caviar can, your talking about osserta tho its not that expensive. Lets be honest here those little osserta tins are about 40 dollars a piece. And FYI we do not use steel spoons because it can ruin the caviars flavor as the alloy might react with the salt.
I’m Russian. You put a thin layer of butter on bread and then cover it with caviar. That’s how you eat it! Make sure the bread isn’t some cheap sandwich bread. Caviar is salty so eating it with chips isn’t ideal
It takes 20 years for a sturgeon to mature and make that caviar. They only breed once and if there don’t, then the species doesn’t replenish. This is why sturgeon are endangered and on the way to becoming extinct. However, people are starting farms, so the wild sturgeon can replenish, and people can still have a great tasting caviar. Please shop farm raised caviar. Thank you
Okie.... so between the caviar lesson, calvin kleins, and pearly whites, can anybody help but to not swoon a bit? Also, thanks for these vids! Content is always simple, easy to follow, and downright delicious!❤️
Did he actually eat a full spoon of caviar just like that? Those are so expensive that people literally take a small pinch of them and eat one big slice of bread with it.
Fun fact, caviar is only expensive cause it's rare nowadays and in the 18-1900s it used to be served in bars instead of peanuts or pretzels, sold for a nickel.
