Yes the food in a college mess or a PG may not be as healthy as the home cooked food, but there are steps that you can take to eat better. It does require a little bit of planning initially. Try different permutation combinations and stick to the one that turns out the best for you, in terms of availability, time taken, ease of buying or preparing etc.

Food should never be a point of stress if we want long term adherence. Hence don’t try to be perfect, just take baby steps and gradually change things to avoid getting overwhelmed.

You do not need to buy expensive fruits and vegetables. The cheaper the better. Yogurt or milk are the best snacks as they keep you fuller for a longer time, as these are protein foods.
