The majority of inmates are maladjusted and ego-centric not to mention mentally ill while our fellow correctional officers are our Borthers and Sisters, have proven they possess the highest level of dedication and commitment and are intelligent so 99.9% of the time the innmate is the problem. Any "leader" that takes the side of an inmate in an inmate vs. officer situation by dismissing the officer and working with the inmate is not only taking sides against the family, but is also taking a 99.9% channce of being flat out wrong and losing the trust and loyalty of their frontline officers which is devestating for any true correctional leader.

One of my favorite phrases for staff that lean on yelling to get their point across has always been, "If you start at 100, there will be nowhere to go." Awesome to hear seasoned veterans saying something similar.

What to do when a facility has issues with CO's break policy and inmates are running the block? Risk factors for CO's who follow policy/procedure vs those who don't, pose serious risk if injury.
