The is exactly the same protocol as developed by the late Burl Pettibon, DC decades ago. Glad someone is continuing with his work. He was a rather crude person, but had some great ideas and tools to help patients become pain free.
Hi Dr. Yoni, I've been watching your videos for a long time and I love your simple and clear explanations. Unfortunately, every video I watched regarding neck issues end with the recommendation to purchase the device you've created that looks very effective. However, for those of us, who are unable to buy it, can you create a video with exercises? Thank you very much!
Thanks for all your support, Galit! I really appreciate it! There are quite a few videos on the channel demonstrating posture building exercises that require no equipment. Yoni, thank you for your concise, easy-to-understand videos! After watching another of your videos I bought a vibration plate for my osteoporosis. Since I am already doing that 10 min per day, would it be safe to wear your active traction headband at the same time I am on the vibration plate?
Great question, Lori! It is possible to perform Active Traction (AT) in combination with whole body vibration (WBV). Be aware that this is a very intense stimulus and alterations in training time should be made to reflect the increase in intensity. For example, if a person had built up to 10 minutes of Active Traction on flat ground, we might reduce training time to somewhere between 3-5 minutes when making the switch to AT + WBV. This combination is not recommended for anyone with low fitness or a history of balance issues.
This was fascinating! My husband has displaced disc at C2-3. He went for months of PT but they never shared this info. He occasionally has neck pain now but he has that "jutted out neck" posture. I think I should get this for him! We have a treadmill at home and maybe he could wear it while walking at 3MPH and be is own case of one! You are so knowledgeable and share things easily for non-health care professionals to understand. Thank you!
There is another important part of it though! The way upper jaw connects to the lower jaw is what affects the neck and body posture. A few holistic dentists talk about it including Dr.Dwight in California and Dr.StevenLin from Sydney which is also not new as it was discovered a long time ago but never taught
Good question, Constance. The answer is - it depends. The age of your fractures would be important to consider and would the overall condition of your spinal tissues. Without knowing your medical history and examining you myself, it's difficult to say to if Active Traction is appropriate for your situation.
Active Traction can be performed standing or walking. There's more information about that in this video - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_AFMc8zwdYw.html
@@painfixprotocol think my lump is from a car accident injury, its painful and only on the left side. Do you have any videos about these injuries? What type of scan or X-ray will show my injury I want to know exactly what's up
100% right, Cathie! But we can (and should) be taking steps to minimize the damage from that often necessary activity. And making a point to engage in certain practices to counteract the harmful effects.
