After playing as him for a while, I have to say that I disagree with some tips in this video Maybe different people go with different tips, but my suggestions are these: Don't save the coffin for yourself. Trust in your teammates. If you save yourself, you won't earn an extra coffin. And if you let your teammates save you two times, two more coffins are added. Boom. Next, don't put the coffin down too early. Try to look at everyone first, especially the kiters And then wait. Once a kiter or another team member got hit, you can place the coffin down for them before they're knocked out. Placing the coffin down for yourself sorta makes you look like a jerk, and puts you in a general disadvantage. Odds are that your teammates will save you anyway, considering that saving you would also benefit them. You know, with the embalmer getting an extra coffin and all. Most importantly, don't leave when you and one remaining survivor are still active in the game and the other survivor is getting chased by the hunter and has a rebirth. Try to stay in the game for as long as you can, if the hunter isn't near you. Just standing there will increase the odds of that survivor's success, since if you leave, the rebirth ability for them will be ineffective. Try to be a good teammate, won't you? Also, for all the cowboys out there, please don't use ropes to save embalmer. The game doesn't consider that as saving and the embalmer won't get an extra coffin.

I knew his traits, loved his looks and adorned how Netease pulled him off so I bought him...eventually...when I came back to the game after a year since the game crashed and didn't let me play untill I uninstalled and installed it again!

@@rumimir18 Do note that sometimes they may be waiting for you to leave so they can escape from the hatch. If they tell you to leave, then leave. Trying to get the fourth survivor to escape is ok at normal matches, but please don't do that at rank matches. If three survivors have reached the gates, then just leave and win the game. Good players knows they may have to sacrifice themselves to secure the team a victory, and do not get distressed about being left behind.
Sugar Su Just leave! Trust me, that person screaming help me, feels the same about you. When it comes to themself or you, they would rather have you escape as you have a higher chance of escape and you both will win if just one of you gets out.
@@davidli2642 I don't do that in rank matches, also I don't stay if the hunter has detention or if they (survivor) tell me not to wait. Like I said in my comment, I only feel bad when they ask for help... I wait at the exit gate for survivors to know where to go, but if the hunter gets close I leave! :D
Sadly this is how some of my teammates play embalmer: -Put coffin near a rocket chair/unfinished cipher machine that hunters can easily teleport to -Kite near coffin -Die twice
i put my coffins on the other side of the map i always mark a person that person will lead me to others that i can mark them the hunter is hitting someone on the otherside i spawn a coffin on the opposite side of the map •~•! The hunter will take a while and it will only take 10 Seconds for my friend to live i personally use it for others more but i choose who to embalm and who to NOT i normally dont choose the team mates that used me as Bait for the hunter and leave me behind
Strange thing is when i paired with embalmer in match and i don't use embalmer, my team sucks. So everyone telling me that embalmer sucks. But i don't believe them. So i bought embalmber myself. Just to proof that he is a good character. So i use him in rank match while i don't practice with him before. And we won with him better than i use with perfumer. I sucks with perfume. Lol. I always put my coffin first. In my first match i decode and not running to see my teammates. I just decode and when the hunter find me i kite him long enough until we have the last chiper. So when the hunter place me on rocket chair my teammates wait until i go out of coffin and finished last chiper and bamm! Borrow time activated! The second match i put my coffin early too.. and the hunter find me first and hurt me 1 time. I kite him and he lost interest. So he teleported to mechanic. I continue decode and when the mechanic chaired, i haven't met her so i can't draw her. But she got saved by coor, and i run to hunter to draw his attention while i'm still injured so mech can run away. When i finnaly chaired while coor and mech injured. The hunter took turn to chase coor and i went to my coffin. Teammates finished last chiper and bam.. borrow time activated! It's so fun to play with him. And i haven't seen this tips before i win with embalmer.
Haven't watch the video fully yet, so idk if you used this, but I use the top-bottom persona build. This is because, the top persona will allow you to see injured survivors to determine when to place the coffin and if they're still being chased. This is very important as without it, you're kinda just winging it. The bottom persona is for manual rescuing, if u haven't recorded the persons appearance. It will buy u time to summon the coffin, and embalm the survivor as they're being chased, after the rescue. I've been experimenting with this persona and I must say it's rather useful for me.
Former 21st embalmer here Just some embalmer tips Place your coffin at the exit gate at the start of the game, or at the end of the map and transition away. Try to look at all your teammates before you start decoding/anything else. I reccomend taking traits 'borrowed time' and 'tide turner' at the persona web. If the exit gate is open and there is a person kiting the hunter embalm them. Do not hesitate to save the last teammate if you are the only two ones left, worst case scenario is you being rebirthed at the exit gate. NEVER use your rebirth if the hunter is not planning to camp/ a rescuer is on their way to save you. Do not place a coffin when you are being chased (dumb, I know,I just saw a lot of people doing that), because if you get chaired the hunter will immediately transition there. If a survivor is knocked down, embalm them and wait near the coffin to heal them/bodyblock at worst case And lastly, do not embalm anyone if you do not feel confident enough to rebirth someone else.
I remember playing with you as a coordinator and when the embalmer was in the chair the coffin was kinda close but for some reason the hunter didnt go, so i just focus on my machine XD. Embalmer is really best boi for coordinators

@@rebin_cgn1231 tbh I play him like this quite frequently, I'm not the best at evading hunters if they're trying to chair me which happens very often if i search for other survivors. Placing a coffin down for myself, then whenever someone gets chaired I swoop in and save them. Because ideally the hunter will go for me (Me saving them is better than another person doing it and ending up, in the worse outcome also getting chaired and not successful) because I can just rebirth. While I'm being dragged to a chair, it gives time for the other survivor to get healed and potentially save me. Or just me to rebirth and not bother them
Yeah... Embalmer is good at decoding and kitting... And ofc wasting hunter's time. I kite Joseph with him and hit Joseph with pallets 5 times and then... Suddenly he's being friendly hunter. After match, he said that he's tired xD And OFC summoning coffin at early is very important. You don't need to worry. OwO
I also place my coffin at start of the match. Since I play solo, there is no guarantee that my teammates will save me. Also insurance since hunters find me first 😂
Usually when I'm confirm myself is safe and entering password is done, I'll wait at the escape gate so that it won't make the last survivor feel panic and also the hunter can get confused too that he thought that there is another survivors to chase
I like to play him to waste the hunters time. I place my coffin early and try finding the hunter. Then either the hunter chases me or they don’t, but if they go after my teammate I can save them so I’m just an annoyance. If they do catch me I just escape via coffin. This play style really just buys time and has worked so far so idk
I often get hate from not rescuing or embalming somebody but by all means necessary the coffin is the embalmers safe card the only time I use it is if theres only 2 ciphers left and someone is being chased then I embalm.
I usually don’t comment much, but yeah. I have to disagree on some points. I usually use embalmer to save and decode. I use my coffin as a second chance. For example, If something doesn’t go as planned when I’m saving someone or get knocked out. I have a second chance. I either heal myself or there’s the coffin, I usually sacrifice myself. Now, when it’s left to only two people. That’s honestly risky. It’s up to you on who to give the coffin to. Keep it to yourself, or give it to the survivor. If you have half health and the other survivors on a chair. You’re honestly a tad screwed. If you have half health, the survivors getting chased and got hit once while being chased. Rush to your coffin and embalm them. I’ll be honest, embalmer would be better if his coffin wasn’t highlighted. One of the main reasons why hunters successfully kill the embalmer, main hunters would probably say it’s unfair if they didn’t highlight it. Which on a level, I can agree with, but most hunters have teleportation. Which is annoying, along with small maps. Hunters are also able to walk quickly, just place your coffin carefully at times. This is just my opinion and experience. So is this video, use the embalmer how you please and experiment to whichever you think is best or suits your taste. I will say, every character does have their limits. It’s best not to place your coffin where you’re decoding at. If you do, then. Just kite far away from your coffin. Or a decent gap. You can always disagree with me, if you’d like.
Hello! Wanna share my thoughts on embalmer gameplay :) What I do is always use coffin on myself at the beggining of the match, the best place to spawn it is near the exit gate if you can, but if it's far away I don't wanna loose that much time. What I do next is trying to get on the opposite site of the map and just decode or kite. I went down and right with persona + faster crawling when incapacitated (very useful, cause lot of hunters wanna to bleed you out), so when anyone needs rescue I do it and body block after that, so the other survivor can escape (I can still do it by myself after sitting on a chair). If the gate is open it puts you in the winning position, cause of coffin next to it with tide turner after using it (that's why placing it there is important). You can also draw your friend in need, so he will escape also. For me he is great character looking at great rescue, kiting and decoding potential and I must admit I really enjoy playing him :) Peace
I usually find my other teammates at the very beginning of the match as the embalmer can see where the other teammates are for the first 15 seconds and record their appearances just in case they get hit by the hunters and the embalmer can rescue them. As soon as I record their appearances I would place my coffin somewhere safe immediately and go decode XD I don't really use the embalmer for myself becuz the embalmer recharges the coffins by letting others rescue you from rocket chairs or cocoons, and the coffins won't recharge if we use it for ourselves sooooo But your strategy is really good too and I would probably try that ^^
Now almost every hunters know how to counter embalmer. By not putting him on chair. But if the hunter camp, he's just wasting his time while the others decoding. Also survivors mostly have self-healing. If the hunter didn't camp, the other survivors can help or just self-healing and run. Your videos are helping me to improve. Thank youuuu civilian~~
I main Embalmer, and this helped a lot! I just got him today and I was playing with my friend, I tried to embalm her when she was tied to the chair... uh- anyways this helped a LOT lmao
I use it for my self me waiting for someone to get down take to long and you need to be close to them meaning instead of decoding your wasting time saving
You first task is using the anxious ability so you can record other peoples apearences if someone gets injured then you place the coffin cause you might get put on a rocketchair if you place it early that means one coffin is wasted and you will only be able to get one more after your teamates save you and ofcourse the third time you are put on a chair you go back to the manor here are some actual tips on how to play him
So this is basically how i play embalmer, Since i always have a seer by my side, He always tell where the hunter goes. If the hunter is going near me first. I always put my coffin down and kite. But when the hunter isn't near me, i preserve my coffin and use it mid game because basically placing down a coffin early game and using it mid/late game is probably a bad choice. Also ever heard of perfect coffin?? Well it's a technique where before the hunter picks up the knocked down survivor, you embalm that survivor in that split second. (basically the coffin sign teleports to the Survivor before the hunter picks him or her up) in that 1 second of Embalming the hunter wont notice and will chair the survivor without noticing that he is coffined. Try doing that technique every time it is very useful.
If you're getting caught by the hunter pretty often (like me) it's best to not use a coffin on yourself right away. Because if you use your rebirth and then get caught again the leftover time on the rocket chair is incredibly short. That's why I rather use my coffin after being rescued once, besides you have two coffins then. (But it works only if the hunter isn't camping and you have good teammates)
Anywhere that has pallets or takes a while to get to like the second floor of the hospital/factory/ship pretty anywhere inside buildings besides shacks because they don't have pallets to protect you and dugeon
I am still confused on how to save yourself with the coffin, I do "the steps", get chaired then don't get reborn. I place it down, kite on the other side of the map, I just don't get it! Can someone help?
Everyone uses him as a get out of jail free card, he is supposed to be used to make sure no one dies and gets face camped. Don’t use embalmer selfishly, instead you SHOULD be finding other teammates so you can mark and draw the endangered ones. Basically embalmed is anti-camp and anti-tunnel. BTW you should probably use your coffins on kiters because they are the ones that do the dirty work and the most likely to go down first.
Today, I was playing as Geisha and met the player playing embalmer. He summon a coffin infront of me and let me hit him. He thought I was gonna put him in the rocket chair but no. I put him infront of his coffin and watched him bleed XD that really wastes my time and hurts me. He's so adorable. Why did I do that ?!?
I like using my coffins for my teammates I think it's useless using it for myself only an entire match and having had embalmer teammates like that it is very infuriating as well. Makes you not want to rescue them at all next time they get taken down haha. Whenever there is a minds eye I try to embalm her first to keep them in the game longer as knowing hunter locations is very good. Other times I use it for teammates who aren't really good at kiting to try and get them across the map from where the hunter is, giving them a better chance at living.
