How to Enable Acer Boot Menu

Does this work for the Aspire e1-470 model? I think I might have a faulty or corrupted hard drive, or keyboard since it doesn't go to the DVD drive to install Windows when I press down to select it like the keyboard isn't responding. Or the CD that has the installer isn't reading it properly.

Hey help me with this my Acer e15 not booting in bios and starting windows 10 directly ... I tried all combination f2 f10 f12 del etc. But won't work I need to dual boot with windows 7 for project work so please can you help me with that bios not opening..

Why doesn't my ssd on optical drive slot not showing on boot priority?, but showing on boot menu.

I have the same problem with the same make and model and I was able to solve it. As per the thread starter said you need to download the V1.15 as it contains all the necessary file and instructions on how to flash the bios. 1. Go to acer website and put in the SIND number of the laptop and from the bios option download the the version 1.15. 2. Extract it and from the downloaded file you will have a Crisis folder and from there you will have a word document with instructions on how to flash the bios. Hope this helps.

Now, how to get out of it? Because I was trying to get rid of this unwanted file called idle buddy. And I was told to go into boot mode.

I tried to follow all instructions, including enabling F12 Boot Menu but when I try to click F10 (Save and Exit) it just brought me back to the InsydeH20 Setup Utility. I’m stuck in a loop right now. :((

hi john.i have an acer 8943g off ebay runs well just fitted new keyboard and bluray drive an also fitted ssd as 2nd drive using now windows 10.but the main drive has windows 7 with acer software but it wont boot into windows just says missing boot manager and i didnt touch the main drive.i have since removed it and tried another drive in off a dell which works ok.ive just relaced original drive and reset as main drive in bios then done the alt f10 acer recovery like you said but then it comes up with no operating system found?and yet the drive shows up in file explorer ok.any ideas?thanks steve in uk.

My boot manager menue turned up empty, so there was nothing to use to reboot. Problem still there.

Bother I get the screen saying there are no boot options. Why is it so?

Thanks, I never seen an option turned off in the bios like that. What I would think seeing this option in bios is that it would not notify the user for the F12 key for bootmenu. But it disables the whole feature... and that while most laptops have shitty or less options in bios than usual... I would also thank you for putting solution into the information box, so unpatient people don't have to watch the whole video and skip and so on.

The pc was restarting in safe mode and the power cord came off and device was without electric power. Now the pc doesn't want to reboot and the hard disk is ticking ..
