If this doesnt work and you still dont see developer options Go to " my fire tv " and then find "about" and click on that like 7 times and it should say you are developer and then the developer mode should show up and let u install from unknown sources.
Sometimes you can't click on the About options. At the bottom of About there is Fire Tv Stick click a few times then the option for install unknown sources will appear
I have a new 4k HDR fire stick and I don't see the turn on apps from unknown sources under any of the settings options. I have looked under the My fire stick and every other option under the settings drop down. Is there another way to turn this on ?
So I’ve done all the above and when you see the message “you’re now a developer” when I then go to developer options it only says “install unknown apps” and that’s it…..when I then go into it, it shows me certain apps that I have previously downloaded including “Downloader”……which is set to ON…..so can you help please??
Well thats it you enabled the way to install unknown sources . Now when u want to download certain apps use the downloader and find the link to that app and downloader app will do the rest .
For those who don't find "fire tv" or"developer options" - go to software and devices and then click in about 7 times. After you will see the developer options
I have 4k Max wi-fi 6 and pressing 7 times developer options it worked. Install unknown apps menu appeared. I am using Downloader, you're great. Thank you.
Can you please help setting up a brand new fire stick I have done everything the above when I get to install unknown apps it shows downloader when I click on to turn on not getting anything just show on but you go out of my fire stick come back it's off please hely
Hey just purchased a new fire stick today 25th July followed all the info on here got the developer options by pressing 7 times turned ADB to on however I can’t turn on the option to download others apps from unknown sources…???? Downloader file just keeps on failing to download. I’ve got it on my other fire stick
@@MiloB yeh it doesn’t allow me to turn it on it says “No applications installed on this FIRE TVhave requested permission to install other applications. You will be able to grant permission once you install an application that has the ability” cheers for your help
That’s crazy well it I find any solutions I’ll come back to this comment . Right now I have no issues with unknown sources or downloader I checked it just now
@@MiloB Thanks I just checked my other fire stick in the front room which is 2 months old no issues with that one it appears they may be trying to ban it

Something so weird happened for me. My fire stick was up to date but developer options wasn’t showing up. I clicked “network” and it said “you are two steps away from being a developer.” I clicked it again “you are one step away from being a developer.” Clicked it a third time, and developer options appeared. So weird.
Hi Milo I don’t have developer options on my Toshiba firetv. I do have downloader all installed but can’t find developer options to install other apps they downloader
there is a way I included in description of this video maybe that helps u. I still didnt get that "new update" that removed developer options for most people I check on daily occasions so I can do new video explaining how to get to developer options. check the description or my pinned comment here maybe that way helps u .
I have insignia fire tv as well it’s on second part of this video I still haven’t received new update which removed developer options I check daily . Try to go to “device” in settings and look for “about” click on that few times and see if the “you are now developer pops up”
@@CellJones should he something like about tv or something like that . Unfortunately I still haven’t received that new update that takes away developer options I check every day . Once I do I’ll do a new video on how to enable developer options
Under my device and software I only have About Legal & Compliance Sleep Restart Reset to factory defaults On my insignia fire tv I have No developer options tab or My fire TV app under settings
Got the same issue pressed 7 times turned ADB bugging on however it won’t let me select download from unknown sources, keep trying to download the downloader app failed every time
Seems like this is another new issue just got few comments about it today . You can try going on your Amazon website make sure u logged in with same account and finding developer app there and there is option to deliver it to fire stick . Maybe that works . Maybe they banned the app and don’t allow new installations of it .
@@MiloB thanks for the info yeh others are having the same issue I think, let’s hope someone can find away to be able to download it again because this will affect all the IPTV suppliers
