The Comments, some are very funny, show that many don't know basic banking. I found and sent this video to my friend because it was new to him. He's in his 50s! Keep learning everyone:-)
You ARE endorsing the check to another. Its your check to give/endorse to anyone. That person now has possession and control of the check. The bank usually accepts these checks without prejudice.
Does this really work? I recently lost my ID and I'm having problems getting 2 proof of residency and I received a check from Wells Fargo. Will Wells Fargo let me do that at their bank with someone who I know has an account there or what??
Thank you, for the video. I need to cash the checks in San Diego, but i am in Ukraine. Hope that it will work and my friend could cash it. Because here in Ukraine it's impossible...
I just called Wells and they won’t accept these steps. I asked if its just them or all of the banks they said all. According to them these steps will just definitely declined along the clearance process.
The two parties have to be present with their ID’s - and have to sign it over in front of the teller (for verification). Because anyone can grab someone’s check and forge it themselves.
First you have to be more specific. There several different types of checks. Some grant you the ability to give more money than the others. And some checks require a hold until verified. However endorsing just needs the persons name who is receiving. No other extra stuff needed.
