I have been building my truck , getting it ready. Did a test fit, with custom built cross members and mounts. Transmission ( r150f) fits into my 1968 international truck very nicely! This channel has been a gold mine of information and very entertaining. I am mostly very low on $ otherwise I would be buying wiring diagrams, bell housings, etc from Kelvin. He is human.... :)

I'm looking at doing a early 1uz swap into a Volvo 240 / 740 which ever I can find in best condition using the auto box from the ls400,my biggest concern is wiring there is a company over here that do a plug and play loom for £500 but I don't see how it would be this hard to use the loom from the ls400 I will be watching more of these videos 👍

Kelvin, at 20:08, what is that hole (between the intake holes) that you are vacuuming out? Oh, and I FINALLY got those starter bolts out today!!! Yay!! The articulated, ratcheting, 18inch, T-Handled wrench was the only tool that could do the trick. I was soooo lucky to even find one on ebay. Amazon didn't have it, and because of Covid, I couldn't go to America to buy one. Nobody sells them in Canada.

By the way the governor has put the whole state under lockdown on Friday was given a permit to travel from work and back home from the secretary from my work place we are considered agriculture we are exempt from the lockdown order I could have used some time off to work on my vehicles, it's crazy. 20:10 spraying solvent and cleaning with vacuum is not recommend. I have seen a big 3000W shop vac went up in flames because sucking during cleaning with alcohol.

I have been viewing your videos and they are very informative. Does the Link system learn or only works on a preset program the reason I ask is on 1 of the videos you made a statement that the hilux got louder normally that means to much fuel I could be wrong but I do drive a t100 and after installing a piggie back system I run into that condition keep the good work and keep the videos coming . Can you please share how you started, and probably, resources you used to help you out in becoming the PRO you are today? I would want to be like you too. Thanks so much for everything you've being doing. I am also considering a 2001 used ford ranger 3.0L truck for $888, with a minor transmission system issue, that's y I asked the questions above.

do you ever check valve lifter clearances? The engine in my car was making a bit of noise and I found about 6-8 valves to be out of spec. Bit of a hassle to swap shims in the vehicle. The engine has 300,000 kms and ran fine other than valve noise.

hey mate, love the videos! i'm super keen on chucking a 1uz in my old rn85 hilux (2wd). i believe she's got a w55 trans in her at the moment and all the stock running gear. would that handle the power from a 1uz or would you recommend upgrading all the driveline? trying to see if i can do it on a budget i.e just chuck the motor in for now & keep it simple. cheers.

Quick question.....I might take the 98 4.0 VVTI 1UZFE to the dealership for timing belt and water pump and starter. I heard its about $1100usd including parts. I didnt think that was terrible. While they are In there, should they also replace the thermostat and vvti harmonic balancer? Also what else do you recommend? Any specific gaskets or parts you would get done while they are in there?! Pulling the motor would be ideal for myself to do it, but I just dont see that in the cards....

do you compression test motors on stands (cold).

What oil do you recommend for the 1UZ, have had good luck with penrite 10w50. Recently trialled Havoline 10w/30 and have noticed white smoke when cold. Doesn't smoke on startup, Power steer Idle up valve delete performed. Only does it cold when driving for first 20 seconds or so under moderate throttle. Maybe valve stems ? Engine is a 94.9 Celsior, conversion. Valve train is a tad noisy also, but only when hot.

With the 1uzfe engine into a 4x4 will water be an issue anywhere like rocker covers?

I have a cammed ucf10 1uz I gotta get out of an old celsior. Long job 😑
