+Frank Jackson no they don't take 2 to 2 1/2 minutes to go out. I am an avid cigar smoker and if I am properly smoking a cigar (medium size like a Robusto) it will take about 15 to 20 minutes to go to the butt. If you are just holding on to your cigar without smoking it it can burn much longer than 20 minutes because there is no air eing sucked through it therefore it is burning very cold and slowly.

I've been a cigar smoker for many years and it's refreshing to hear you talk about cigars and the shear pleasure of smoking them. I think there are too many pretentious people out there by far. ibanezbillco Good point. As an educator, I make very little money, but occasionally I treat myself to a $25 or so cigar--which is an extravagance for me. But, it is enjoyable and something to look forward to every couple of months.

The “breakfast cigar” is one of the silliest yet most brilliant marketing phrases I’ve ever heard of. It’s so much classier then a “breakfast cigarette”! p.s., I’m a cigar smoker. Addiction plays a large part in a breakfast cigar I think, much like a breakfast whiskey.
