Bro help me. I am facing issue in my Lenovo pc. When turn it on it shows undoing changes made to your computer and restarts automatically. Then i open boot manager with f12 and i click on windows boot manager but it's not working advance option are not showing please help❤️❤️❤️
Slightly off-topic and not related to Lenovo, but couldn't find if you have ever done a Compaq vid. Some advice needed please: a friend has given me her Compaq 615 for a general overhaul and reinstall of Windows. However, there is an issue with the screen display, as it sometimes flickers and occasionally goes off for periods of time. Gently shaking the laptop or giving light taps to the screen and/or main body sometimes brings it back, but not always. Is this an indication that the screen is about to fail, or is it more likely a loose connection somewhere? If the latter, pls give me a few tips on how to solve it. If the former, is exchanging the screen a difficult job requiring any special tools? Thanks in advance.
Also, the battery (original HP DD 06) seems to be completely dead -doesn't charge when adapter cable plugged in, even after overnight charge, laptop doesn't boot from only battery. When they're dead like this, is that it (purchase new one?) or is there a way to jump start it like you showed with smartphone batteries??
For the screen problem. It might be the ccfl tube, the inverter for it, the cable between the motherboard and the display or any of the connections between them. Sadly without opening it up there is no way of knowing. Just take care with the high voltage inverter and tube.
In theory the battery can be jumpstarted, in reality I did not succeed in all my attempts. Just get a new one, it is not worth the wasted time trying to revive it.
@@UltimateDIY Well, she's got a spare monitor with VGA plug, so if the problem persists, she'll have to use that. As it's not my machine, I'm not prepared to spend the time or have the hassle of trying to fix it, or bear the responsibility of breaking something beyond repair.
@@UltimateDIY Get a new one was going to be my advice to her as well (though she's not a rich person and I thought I could save her some money). Thanks for your feedback on both issues....
That probably means you have a supervisor password. You can't remove it by resetting the bios. You need to know the password to remove it or use a bios programmer.
You need to enter the bios and make sure it's in the allowed boot devices list. Other variant might be that it is defective or the connector not making contact.
@@UltimateDIY using Lenovo PCs as Linux monitoring devices and this is so much faster than going into the BIOS. 10/10 content. Subbed and rung the bell.
Sadly none of your Boot or Bios access methods work with Thinkcentre Minis that only have display and/or HDMI ports available. The problem has to do with the higher HDMI and/or Display Port Signal not being compatible with the Bios. It won't even work with VGA to HDMI or DVI to Display Port Adapters. Without an actual VGA Port on the Thinkcentre, there's just no way to boot from USB or access the Bios. It's pretty ridiculous from Lenovo when you consider the fact that some Thinkcentre Minis have high performance quad core i7 processors with 8 threads, top of the line graphics, 8+ GB of RAM, and so on. Ah well, thanks for the video.
@@UltimateDIY Couldn't access the Bios with HDMI or with Display Port or with VGA to Display Port or with DVI to Display Port (from another Monitor). Finally tried using a Display Port to Mini Display Port Adapter ... and that worked. BUT ... before you try that on a Lenovo ThinkCentre Mini you first have to access the Energy Options to disable the fastboot function, which will then provide you with a true hard boot as opposed to a soft boot. It's the most ridiculous manner of accessing a bios that I have ever encountered.
Depends on what you want to do. If you want to reinstall Windows, just create a bootable drive with "media creation tool". (Google media creation tool and download it from Microsoft website)
