I started saying “I get to do this” instead of “I have to do this”. It really changed my perspective and it shows gratitude for the blessings. I love this video, thank you so much❤️❤️
😅😅😅😅 Girl you literally called me out this whole video especially when you was talking about the, “I don’t feeeeeeel like it” and “whhhhhhhhy”. I’m currently in that space right as I type. Thanks 🙏🏾 for this pep talk!
A lot of ppl glorify working out without letting us know the most important thing: WORKING OUT HELPS US “Feel like it” in reference to other tasks and the next work out 💪🏾 HOPE THIS PERSPECTIVE HELPS
I stretched before doing laptop work. It's not working out it simply makes me feel ready. A 5 minute stretch with a 3 minute run gets me ready for everything
Randomly discovered your channel & this was incredibly helpful. I used to be veryyy disciplined when I was a teenager but as I got older I lost that. This video was a gentle reminder to get myself back on track. New sub alert!😊
Also… the discipline to prioritize your own goals and advancement for long enough to gain traction. As girls and women, we are often guilted into being available for everyone else’s needs but our own.
I know! Im 32 and was listening in the shower. I though she said "34" because of the "getting up there" comment but when I got out I was like.. lemme roll that back cause 34 where!? Then i heard 24 and was like.. okay sis go off mature mam!
Today I forced myself to workout, I didn't feel like it but I did it anyway bc I know I always feel better afterwards. I had to remind myself that success doesn't care about "I'm didn't feel like it".
This is so so good. I’ve been consuming self-development content for years, and I’ve never heard someone speak so directly in a way that’s applicable and helpful to others. I’m so glad I came across your video and channel!
This video is so necessary and helpful! I tend to go toggle in and out of my disciplined girl era. It is either one of the two extremes for me either super disciplined or just plain unfocused and all over the place. I love what you said about stoicism, because that is something I need to implement. I plan to listen this video multiple times to keep myself in check. Oh and I just heard you say DO NOT CONFUSE opportunity as if it is not a distraction. Whew that is good! Keep up the great content!
Absolutely agree! Embracing stoicism helps you push past feelings that might otherwise hold you back, enabling consistent progress toward your goals. Having a long-term "why" keeps you focused on what truly matters. 💪
great video... correct pronunciation is: stow - uh - si - zm the noun however is pronounced as sto-ic just fyi before everyone goes around showing off the new word they just learned lol
This is an awesome video and loving correction. We as sisters can support one another in so many ways. We are all so brilliant and receiving positive and helpful information, such as what is shared in this video (soooo helpful!) as well as pronunciation correction is something all of us should be open too as we are willing to grow. I love this for us!
No hate just wanted to let you know stoicism is not pronounced how you're pronouncing it, but regardless thank you for this video! I discovered stoicism on my self improvement journey and it's helped quite a bit with mindset changes ❤
Yea I know lol I’m trying to get better not rushing my videos I’m still a little shy in front of the camera but I will get it next time lol I do appreciate the comment tho❤️
Seeing this on the first of the month and I’ve been questioning A LOT of myself and my current routine. Not gonna lie.. I teared up because what you’re saying is so true and I feel called out lmao. I really appreciate you and your message. Thank you!
This video, got me emotional. You touched on so much especially at the end, in reflecting on our childhood. This video is full of wisdom. And all of these tips are taken to heart. Great video girl!
I have felt stuck in my life and I am nowhere near the woman I want to be or have the lifestyle I want. Girl your videos are giving me life and really helping me. I appreciate you, your videos and the newfound perspective you have given me. Thank you soo much. I am starting the 75 day challenge on sunday after I write down and figure out my goals, what's important to me, the steps I need to take and create my daily routine in a planner. 😊
I love this but cringed every time you said “Stoi-Kism” 😣😣😣, it’s pronounced “stoi-Sism” 😅😅… this video definitely has me questioning myself for suuurreee! Big facts on the your mind saying “we don’t like this thing” and your brain responding to that!!!
I came here to say that. I was like, how she talm bout stoicism but can’t pronounce it. Them i thought about Beyonce and her many mispronunciations and thought, oh well.
I wish I had this mentality when I was 23/24. Now ten years later I feel like I’m behind the ball trying to get it together. I really appreciated this video. Thank you!
That stoicism and learned helplessness makes too much since to me! Ive been in a super hard spot because of Over emotion and not just getting stuff done! Def gonna see what i can apply to keep it pushing. Ex gotta lose 80lbs thats nothing 6lbs a month for a year! 3lbs a month for 2 years! Slow and steady!already hitting 5k steps up it by 1k without rationalizing jist do it
Loooved this! Glad I came across it. I just want to pass along one thing and that is the pronunciation of Stoicism. Stow•i•sis•zum. Singular is stow•ick. No shade intended at all. ❤
I really needed this video!!! I love how you said that you can say oh I don't feel like it, but you have to talk to yourself and GET up and do it!! I said this month is going to be MY MONTH to do it!!
Thank you! You’re right - I don’t need to go over my “why” for pretty much any of the things I resist. And if I were a child, I’d think “first of all, you don’t need an explanation right now, as time is passing.”
You are very well spoken. The way you laid out each strategy and pulled back the layers to each concept was wonderful. Keep building that skill and thank you for sharing this information. ❤
Consuming what you or how you aspire to be is so key. I love that you mentioned the importance of listening to podcast. Especially when you don't have a mentor or someone close to guide you. TFS...this was great. New subbing for sure 🩷
Girl you know me so well! I’ve searched for ways to snap out of it but no one told it like you did! Thank you not only for your help but also for keeping it 💯 your letting us know you understand by experiencing what we go through which helps us to connect to your message so well.
You are so beautiful and wise beyond your years! I thoroughly enjoyed this video and one thing I’m going to take away is to stop asking myself “why?” I don’t want to argue with myself anymore, it’s been holding me back
Hey thank you for this motivational information! I am 36 and I’m still building more self discipline. You dropped gems and shed a huge light on why listening to podcasts are helpful. Thank you! I will check out your podcast as well
Thank you for dropping gems! I've been struggling with my discipline big time and you just hit every nail on the head, I felt like you were my bff giving me tough love lol and it's greatly appreciated! I also love the mindset you introduced and will start incorporating that way of thinking. Everything you said was a much needed blessing to my soul. ❤
I’m about to turn 25 and I feel you on the “getting up there”! lol and you totally called me out on the saved gym videos 😂😂 im gonna be better I promise lol we all got this!!
New subscriber here, girl I needed this video today. I've been struggling with this exact thing for years. I work at a call center after downgrading my life after not finding any tech jobs. I also gained a lot of COVID weight and had a hard time losing it. I'm back in school and building my workout routine and diet regimen. I struggled with both discipline and consistency and I feel like this video came in my life at the right time, thank you.
Loved this video! The tip on consuming media that has the same mindset as the one you want to adopt is golden-a mentor put me on to this when I was 19 and it is sooo key for maintaining focus without [local] community!!
Thank you. I've known that my self discipline has been lacking for a while, but I have started microhabits that help improve the quality of my life. This is definitely the confirmation that I needed to know that I'm on the right track in some spaces AND where I need to shift my mind. New Subbie🎉
Thank youuuu. 17 year old single mom and you really helped me with this topic .💕 you will attract the audience who vibrates on your frequency, i love this energy.
Thank you I’m so happy this message was able to help💕. Coming from someone who mom got pregnant with her as a teen I want to tell you that YOU got this no matter what anyone says and no matter what happens as long as you love your baby don’t ever feel like you’re not doing “enough” or your baby doesn’t love you “enough”. Show your baby with your actions examples of how you want them to be when they grow up and trust me even if they seem to not be paying attention, when they become grown they will replicate what you showed them more than what you told them❤️
Couldn’t be explained any better. I needed this. No hate to other creators but when it comes to this topic its the same cliche explanation. Glad I came across this video💕
Discipline includes being ever-present please see yourself as young too because the idea that it is your 20s then you're old is toxic, and will age you. A lot of young folks overdo it and age themselves because you basically end your life growth pater prematurely at thirty when if you live well you still have 50 years of life and plenty of growing and changing to do left when at 24 you've only been an actual person in society for four years so you're basically a toddler in the grand scheme of living your life as someone who has lived. and also 28 will be when you really peep the rest was just Child's play. You're on a great track.
God brought me to this video because this is exactly what I’m experiencing! I have never heard of “learned helplessness” but once I looked up the definition it’s what I’m struggling with! I am currently doing the 75 Soft Challenge as well! I’m praying nonstop for God to help me be more disciplined because motivation will never be enough to get it done!
Thank you for making this video, you told me to hold myself accountable for my short term and long term goals. I can either look back and have excuses or progress!
GIRL good job on filming the video bcs I am really invested in what you are talking and focused.Honestly, I think our generation has such a big problem with watching content bcs of quick dopamine fixes from instagram, tik toks and reels we are used to. Thanks for the tips. Love the cross (sisters in Christ) and minimalistic background. Keep up with the good work.
The algorithms led me to your video. I really enjoyed this. You just got a new subscriber. Thank you for this message at a time where I needed it most 🙏🏽
I be in the bed screaming to myself to get up, but the "go to sleep" voice don't even gotta yell. I started speaking with my mouth saying "I WANT to get up, God woke me up for this alarm. I getting get up now."
Thank you so much for this video Chamia I really did enjoy this video and also self discipline is important for us to be able to manage things and also I was really able to relate when you said that you are trying to be careful with what you consume in your body and I am doing the same thing as well because sometimes we start feeling so overwhelmed and physically ill because we aren’t careful of what we are letting into our body.
You are absolutely on point and my husband is big on stoicism. Sis, please listen to the pronunciation of the word cuz I was very confused about what you were saying at first then I realized you were talking about stoicism. Great video!
This video actually helped lol i am the one that will complain to workout but recently ive just been getting up and start the process, some days it may take me longer to start but i get going, ive done this not paying attention and it's helped me eat better ,show up everyday and now im srating to notice the difference. Now intentionally I will add this to other areas on my life
Thanks for the reminder. Im glad to hear the whole truth and NOTHING but the truth. It hurts but it is so valuable to hear someone tell you how it T..I..is. new subscriber here sis🙋🏾♀️❤
