I'm Brazilian and thanks for the video, we don't have this breed of ox here, only with smaller horns, we have the girolando breed but it's still smaller than the long horn, I like to macerate skulls, and I learned a little more from your video, win a subscriber.
Great video and great looking mount I’m working on a similar amount and the horns are also pretty cracked on the outer portion However, when I use a grinder with a flappy wheel, it seems like it’s scratching more of the horn than I would prefer Do you happen to know what grit flappy wheel you use? Did it look like it was leaving scratches before you put the polyurethane on it? Thank you
The flapper wheel is for getting the big gouges and scratches out. Then I take a fine grit sandpaper and hand sand the horn to get the small scratches out.
When you sanded down the horn what grit did you use and in the video you used the angle grinder is that the only time you sanded it? The process in the video seemed to be a lot quicker process if you don’t have to go through the different grits of sandpaper. I’m assuming that’s why you polyurethaned it?
@@indiantrailoutdoors I've done a lot of long horns and they are by far my least favorite animal to European Mount those horns can be a beard to get off even if they are fresh
nice longhorn were did you get it from i think the European mount procces is so cool i did this method on all my deer skulls i like how you showed the hole process
Bruv, this go recommended to me. Now I’m invested. Tell me how to European mount a longhorn. Also, cutting the horn surprised me, I thought you’d just keep it.
If you want the flesh removed fast put the head near an ant colony or you could buy some ants my buddy did this and in 3 days all the flesh was gone just try it out it saves you time great video
