I got a question: let's say that I have this strong pokémon OHKO'ing wild pokémon. Said strong has a Power Item. And the pokémon I am EV training has XP Share. The One-Hitter pokémon of mine faint a random wild pokémon. *NOW* Does the Pokémon with XP Share gets the increased EV from the One-Hitter or "Bands only affects the Pokémon wearing it*?

i think it's funny how people think super training is easier than regular ev training.. with a power item and pkrs, you only have to defeat about 15 of a pokemon giving just 1 ev stat to max a stat out.. couldn't be easier.

Once you get pokerus, EV training on hordes is ridiculously fast
@Reecheing
@Reecheing 10 лет назад
Manny Perez Yes, yes it is.
@LosingCrayon
@LosingCrayon 10 лет назад
Manny Perez It may be faster, but I'm not sure if the stats would be as high as if you super trained at level 1. Because if your Pokemon becomes fully EV trained at say, level 20, then it would be missing out on 20 levels of stat increases that EV training would give you. But if you super trained your Pokemon all the way at level 1, then the stats would be better :) I'm not sure though, because I barely even get EV training >_
@EihaMudo
@EihaMudo 10 лет назад
The stats increases as you get EVs even if they are already level 100 now. Back in the old gens pokemon had to level at least once to get all the EV boosts (like Electivire getting +20 in attack from level 67-68 after EV training in attack). I always check serebii and pokegen to compare the stats there to the stats on my pokemon ingame and nothing has gone wrong yet. Anyway I have almost 3 boxes full of perfect and almost perfect IV bred pokemon (and EV trained as well...) and it took me around 2.6k eggs to reach that lol.

Random (and overly long) Question: Is there no such thing as a Calculator or Program or Witchraft-Tool; Science or Magic; that allows for QUICK and EASY research on-the-go about EV-Training? I mean, do i have to memorize Masses and Masses of Data about how Everything reacts to Everything?! There must be an easier way, yes? Just something that asks of me the work to memorize what Stat my Pokemon 'need' to grow in, and then i enter this simple Stuff into something. Like: "I have 3 Magikarps. I want them to become the Fastest Magikarp and have them break the Sound-Barrier. But i also have 3 Charmander. And I'm on Route-4. So what Pokemon should i defeat here and with who??" Get what i mean? Sorry for the long comment. ...I'm no speech-maker, after all...

@JoeHabana
@JoeHabana 10 лет назад
dude this other metod works better, with the Horde battles thr proces is even faster than super training a pokemon with Pokerus and a power item against a horde of certain pokemon horde gives you 50 EVs so only defeatin 5 hordes gives you 250, this is way faster. using honey or sweet scent is 100% chance to encounter a horde
@lightstormclaw
@lightstormclaw 10 лет назад
Joe Habana only problem with that is you wont always get the evs you want and you wont always get pokerus
@JoeHabana
@JoeHabana 10 лет назад
light stormclaw for the Pokerus, lots of people spread it over Wonder trade so is worth to use tha fumction and the vivillions are good to send, lots of people want to get all the different paterns. now about the EVs, avoid mixed Hordes and for specific EV you need to go to: HP: Gulpin- route 5 whismur- conecting cave foongus- route 20 Atk: Ekans/Bellsprout- route 14 Arbok/wippinbell- route 19 Trevenant- route 20 Def Nosepass- Route 10 Geodude/Durant- Terminus SpAtk Vallinite/smoochum- Frost Cavern SpDef: Hoppip- Route 7 Speed Wingull- Route 8 Zubat- Conecting Cave i have some very useful guides to this, breeding for perfect IV, shiny catching, etc... just ask if ye want the direction to them (a couple are video in here, other are from Tumblr)

What really annoys me is how every complains "EErrrghgh math in pokemon". Kiddies, you have NO idea what real mathematics is. The "math" for calculating stats in Pokémon is absolute child's play.
@TheOneAndOnlyMrToast
@TheOneAndOnlyMrToast 10 лет назад
HA Ha HA. You Said Child Play. Like A Child Would Be Doing That Easy Math
@Ocsttiac
@Ocsttiac 10 лет назад
Mr.Toast It's fundamentally just arithmetic, stuff you learn when you're 8-12. It's just because the fraction LOOKS big that it scares people. "Oh no! As an adult human being, I'm terrified of adding numbers together and dividing them!"
@johnroush1099
@johnroush1099 10 лет назад
Ocsttiac no, it's more or less that the math involved isn't very intuitive. That is has to be a Pokemon with no training, and that the EV's cap out very early on in training. It doesn't make sense that a Pokemon can max out EV's before level 20, and those other 80 levels have no impact on how that Pokemon develops. I'll agree that the math itself isn't difficult. It's the applied concepts of the math that irritate people.

This is still confusing. So I have to battle in wild pokemon all the time? I don't want to waste my time raising pokemon at level 1 until my eyes bleed. This whole "Ev training" thing is stupid. It's confusing to know which pokemon gives out which stats total. Fuck EV training. This whole thing is stupid. Don't even know how gamefreak can expect people to know all this. It just annoying. I have a life. I don't have time to EV train my pokemon like a nerd.

***** Obviously EV training isn't everyone's thing. Nothing is everyone's thing... You don't have to do it if you don't want to, but that doesn't make it stupid. People who love pokemon and want theirs to be its strongest will, and would have fun with it too. Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it's stupid, or bad at all. It doesn't harm you.

This took me quite a long time, but on my emerald save I have a battle frontier level 50 team EV trained and all shiny. It consists of a Salamance (which is wierd because it's green), a machamp, and an alakazam. I haven't lost with the party since I've done this and by setting there move sets up properly you make them extremely powerful. I didn't use this tutorial and I wish I had would have saved me many hours of tedious playing and searching for EV training methods. :)
