dasha ridu Argine Galstian Yes my eyelids evened out thanks to this method. After wearing these tapes every single day for 2 or so months as instructed, my eyelids have stayed put. I'm not saying that it is permanent, but so far, so good!
Zhi Lin i have double eyelids but one is more hooded than the other, so you can't really see what's underneath. i used the tapes to make my eyelids a bit higher

I don't mean to sound ignorant but I am watching this in 2018 and this is the first time in my life that I have heard of eyelid tape or glue. I just legit did not know that such a thing existed. I have one hooded eyelid and it's driving me nuts. My normal eye looks so pretty and my makeup looks so nice, and the hooded one looks uneven and a mess! Ugh
I was skeptical at first but this improved my confidence so much. My hooded eyelids have been uneven for as long as I can remember. Since the start of quarantine, I wore them for only a few hours a day at a time and over night. I still wear them every night but it’s so relieving to wake up to even, beautiful eyelids.
Irene Silver yes I wear it for at least 23 hours every day. At first it was really annoying and kind of painful actually but now it’s really easy. I put it on at night and the next night I take it off before I shower.
If someone wondering wether this works or not, it works. A lot of my friends do this trick and their lids change permanently, even after they stopped wearing the tape/glue. But you really need to commit to it for several months just like she said (one of my friend actually did it for 2 years and she now has completely different lids. It's actually amazing)
@@bethanysennitt5807 in my experience, it was irritating at the beginning. There was visible redness, but after a week it went away. I've been using these tapes for 3 months now and am satisfied with the result :)

This video is what saved me from my uneven eyelids 4 years ago. Yes people kept on staring and kept on asking wtf is on my eye and it can get embarrassing (I was wearing eyelid tape daily in my senior year of highschool) but I powered through that until my eyelid started holding its shape. My excitement when I realized that I could sleep, shower, and cry (but not too hard) without my left eyelid reverting back to a monolid is above and beyond. I feel more confident now with my eyes and I feel comfortable using eyeliner without it looking wonky.
@@Asmr-hh6dj The eye gets poofy so the crease disappears. So when the eye gets back to normal, my original monolid will be back. But if I just use an eyelid tape for a day, it'll revert back to its double eyelid form without a problem.
@@Asmr-hh6dj It took literal mooooths. A little over 3 months probably. I found out my eyelids stayed one day after I showered and I didnt notice the tape got off but my double eyelid remained. At the beginning especially, I would apply 2 eyelid tapes (the one where only one side is sticky) so it would hold the shape better. I might be lucky since my right eye was already a double eyelid so chances of my left monolid holding a double eyelid was big but it doesn't hurt to try it out!
I already had double eyelids but they were uneven. I did this for eight hours on one eye then took it off and believe it or not my new fold stayed for a months(and counting). I didn't even have to wear it anymore after that! I guess i got reaaaallllly lucky. I love my eyes now! thanks Mish showing this technique
Ordered eyelid tapes but in the meanwhile I began sleeping on my back more and it has greatly improved my eyelids and cured my saggy severe hooded eyes for now. But still, will use eyelid tape for days when the second eyelid vanishes on my bad days.

Nobody is paying me to write this i am writing this comment because i myself have used it and its really works like magic this is literally life changing I watch this video like 2 years ago i tried it from the 1st day i saw the result bt it was not lasting long so i did this for like 2 3 months continiously and i stayed long so i would use this technique everytime i need and at one point i didn't had yo use at all! I have a very slightly hooded double eyelid (actually I'm not sure if it would be considered as hooded but whenever I try to do a smoky eye or something, my eyelid basically covers everything) and the inner part is like mono-lid
+Momoko Karamel Only one of my eyes is hooded and the other is normal with a crease. So I have to do the eye shadow differently and I can't use any liners or it will make the hooded one stand out like I have a busted eye :( Not o mention mascara gets smudged on my hood.
@@depresuka6933 I know big high eyelids look so pretty but mine are different. As I said there are 3 creases when people usually have one and they are from swelling. They also make me look really tired
gurl we relate... exept every time i wake up my eyelids look soo different and it gets so annoying. like it makes me look so weird with my creases and i started panicking when i realized when im on zoom im inverted😭😭 im also asian filipino
its not about looking a certain way, i just want to do this so that my eyes look even. I have one monolid and one regular eye. you wouldnt imagine how annoying it is to have them uneven.
ATTENTION PLEASE ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️ Please dont use eyelid tape. Many people are unaware of this, but eyelid tape does fix your eyelids temporarily, but eventually can cause long term, if not permanent damage to your eyelid. It causes your eyelids to stretch and sag and therefore gives you an even worse problem than when you started. PLEASE PLEASE do NOT wear eyelid tape.

@@limenorth7493 I fixed my uneven eyelid just by putting hot water on a cup and put the cup on my eye for a couple of mins. I did this for a couple of days and istg my eyelid went back to normal.
IT WORKS !!! IT REALLY WORKS GUYS !!!!!!! I watched your video yesterday and tried out the trick. Voilà ! This morning when I woke up, both my creases were perfectly equal and they still are now !!!! I bought a roll of one-sided eyelid tapes which is the only available kind in my local drugstore. I use it before i go to bed and remove the tape in the next morning and then I do my makeup routine. I CAN apply eyeshadow on my creases and draw eyeliner !!!! Before this, I can only do eye makeup after a long crying night or an overslept morning. Thanks to your trick, now I can do any kind of eye makeup whenever I want !!! It works even though I only put it on for few hours when I sleep !!! My new crease lasts until the end of the day. I’ll use the tape before going to bed everyday for everlasting effect 💗 So much thanks for you and your dear friend !

I have natural doble eyelid but in the middle there's a weird line that goes from the middle Iof my eye to the out of my eye corner. Its like the line you can see on her eye in sec 0:19 . I don't know if its a wrinkle or a new crease forming. I have it in both eyes but one of them is deeper. If I put that tape in that crease that its forming i nthe middle, the upper one that is my natural crease will dissapear? Im sorry if I this is confusing lol
I think I have weird eyelids... They are even, but they are like "triple" lids. I googled it a bit and everything I saw, most people said their eyelid just changed on one eye one day, and they wanted to get rid of it! My eyes have been like this for as long as I remember... But also, when I look straight, my eyelids look like double, but when I SLIGHTLY look down-ish, the third thing is visible. Is that confusing? It's worrying me.
Careful when you do this guys, I tried it and it’s ruined my eye lid. It’s become even more droopy than before. Now one eye lid is completely hooded and the other eye is normal. Listen to Michelle when she says to be careful because now I’m devastated. My eye lids basically have ptosis now.

Coming back here almost 3 years later because I've been using eyelid tape for more than 2 years and finally...finally I have a permanent double eyelid on my left eye (right eye has always been double lidded). I'm just trying to say that it's different for everyone. For some people it takes 3 months for me it took almost 3 years. All you need is perseverance. FYI I used both eyelid tape and glue. I recommend both tbh
I've been using this for a little over half a year, and I still do not see much change, sometimes the line stays for a few hours, but then it falls back, do you think I should do it any longer? Or will it be that I have to give up?
Alli Lee - did you use medical tape? Or medical tape grade eyelid tape? I bought two kinds but not medical tape at all and it’s starting to irritate my eyes
Hi! I have been using the tape for 8 months now 24/7. Every single day. It stays in place for a couple hours but when I sleep it goes away. What do I do? Do you think I can still get permanent eyelids?
So glad I'm not the only one experiencing this. I have uneven eyelids. My left eye is a double eyelid but my right eye is hooded. I use eyelid glue and people don't understand it but you do. Thank you for posting this.
I wish I knew this shit sooner!!!! I've spent my whole life ashamed of my left eyelid because it was extremely hooded and surgery was always too expensive but now I finally have a way to deal with it without surgery and I cannot be happier, thank you so so much omg!!
I actually made my other eyelid smaller and not the other eyelid bigger. I think it looks better than my large eyelid since it makes my eye look expression-less and droopy haha. I can see why you made it bigger though since you do makeup tutorials and a bigger eyelid is better for that.

im a guy and have hooded eyes but one of them isnt as hooded as the other. i like my hooded eyes and would rather have the other one be just as hooded as the other. does anyone know what i could do🥺
Same here! People are saying hooded eyelids look bad but I find it looks way better on guys, I'm tempted to use tape on the other eyelid to make them both hooded. Anyone have advice on this?
the hooded one has a crease in the middle, the other one 2 creases - 1 higher and 1 lower, so make a crease between them and after a while this will be your main and only crease

Yup it worked, I’ve done this before i saw this video. She’s right you need to wear tape everyday. I changed my eyelids after 1 month of usage at night. Every time i sleep i will apply it. But now i dont have to use it anymore because it changed like the way i want
This video was really helpful to even out my eyelids. Used to have no eyelids and woke one day in panic of having a permanent eyelid on my right eye. Used the technique in this video but mine got permanent after 6 months. Now I have them evened out thanks to this video and to Etude house eyelid tapes 😃
so i wanted to share my experience....i started to use eyelid tapes around a year ago. first few days were going well but i had school and my would notice that my eyelids looked a bit weird. so i stopped using tapes and went for glue instead...i used it for like a month or two but after that my eye suddenly had an allergic reactio to the glue. I googled it and it was pretty common to have these reactions but my eye became so sore and red especially where i applied the glue( i only used glue and tape on one eye since my eyes were uneven) after a few days, the swelling decreased and there was kind of like a wound in my eyelid but that got better over time( i used icecubes and an antiseptic cream on the lid). After this incident, the eyelid stayed on place and i didn't have to use tape or glue anymore! this experience was kindof a rollercoaster for me but the end result was pretty good and my eyelids have stayed even for a whole year now and im pretty sure its permanent. I just want to say that do this at your own risk but you will see some results
I've got another problem lol. So I have double lids on both eyes but the one lid is bigger and I want it to become smaller. It looks so weird and swollen bc there is more skin shown and idk I don't like it. Does anyone know how to make it smaller?
Same! It's usually due to excess eyelid fat. The best way is to depuff it with ice or cold green tea bags :) a good night's rest would make it smaller too.
5 days ago my narrow eyelids were okay, but when i woke up it doubled and i can't bring it back. I will come back after 3 months and see if it works !!

I had uneven double eyelids before this but I fixed my uneven eyelid!!! It's been 2 months since I've stopped using the tape and my eyelids are still the same
I used it for 3 months like her video told us to but sometimes I didn't feel like putting the tape on it and lasted for a couple days (but I had already been using the tape for like 2 months). When you first start using the tape if you take it off the crease won't last long. The longer you continue to wear your tape the longer the crease will stay without using the tape.
Who's here in 2020 and can't wait for results! Great job I'm trying this out, one of my eyes is tiny and the other one is normal it causes daily doses of jealously.
I love the glue method being a darker skin African American woman the eyelid tape doesn't work well with me but on the other side I don't wear much makeup. That I going to glue is wonderful thank you. Going to order it immediately 🙏🏾
I tried this with eyelash glue and a Bobby pin and it works as well it felt a little uncomfortable however if you're looking for a quick fix for the day this definitely works
It really works! I wore eyelid tape for 24 hours for 30 days. It’s been 6 years now and the fold is still here. Tho when i cry and my eyelids becomes puffy it comes a lil weird but when the puffing gone, the fold is back to normal again

My eyelids are crazy. I remembered growing up with mono eyelids till I was like 5. I even have tons of photo in which I still had mono eyelids. But then the next thing i know, i have double eyelids. *UNEVEN double eyelids
hi coming back to this after 4 months and my heavy mono lids are actually staying pretty well, previously i had used glue (eyetalk) and tape (daiso yuck) for more than 2 years and it didn’t stay because i didn’t have them on for the hours she had advised. i find that CURLING your lashes after ( or perming 😩) helps make the lids stay even MORE secure so you don’t have to constantly roll your eyes to adjust them!! michelle phan supremacy , feel free to ask abt some other tips and tricks that i’ve learned these years lol
@@sumi5100 use it as directed, if it doesn’t tell you how to remove it, it’s probably not that good of a brand, so use water or makeup remover to slowly peel it away, my skin was sagging before when i didn’t take it off properly nor did i hydrate my skin with lotion/eye cream
Okay so first off I just want to say- WOW- Like a comment below said I literally have NEVER ever heard of eyelid tape or eyelid glue for this sort of desired look.. As someone with VERY hooded eyes it always eaten me up thinking that the only solution to fix this for me what a blepharoplasty but this literally saved me so much time and money. This sounds so spokesperson-y but I genuinely did go out on Amazon and bought both the eyelid tape and the eyelid glue to see which one worked for me and the results were everything I wanted... Keep in mind though I am a Hispanic male (More specifically around 60% Iberian European, 40% Indigenous American)(Hispanics vary differently and I wanted to give you an idea of what I am) and while my eyes are extremely hooded and sort of southeast Asian looking, the tape and glue might work differently on someone of a different ethnicity or genetic makeup as me. After wearing the eyelid tape for me and taking it off after literally three hours my eyes have retained the eyelift even after my workout and tonight I'm putting them on when I sleep. This literally changed my life... I'm someone who CONSTANTLY is being told that I look mad or angry or sad or tired because of how hooded my eyes are but in reality its literally just my eyes LOL. I've always dreamed of fixing this because for me I just feel like a non-hooded look would look better and wearing the tape has made my face a lot more expressive and just how I imagined it. BTW- this review is based on the eyelid tape- I tried the glue once and I feel like I coated it wayyy too heavily because while it did give good results the outcome was really sticky and I liked the simplicity of the tape on my eyes better. Its only been a day and a half since I have had these products. I hope this helps more people I soso recommend.
i also have monolids and yes, it lasts forever. like now i have double eyelids. it depends on how thick your eyelid is. mine is really thin so it was very effective :)
I always thought I was born with some sort of deformity or Scar. But now I feel a lot better knowing others have the same issue! I will try this, thx so much!!!
