How To EXCALIBUR | Warframe Beginner Build Guide

Thanks for watching! This was our first swing at a build guide. With this one we wanted to specifically target new/returning players as that is a realm of the game I have significantly more familiarity with when compared to endgame. The plan is as I continue to make these, research, and learn, that ill be able to then make some endgame build guides as well :)

Out of all scythe it has the second highest base damage and critial chance Hate is a cool weapon when wielded in warframe but hate as an emotion or action is not cool especially when directed at another human being be cool like Excalibur 😎

a video like this desperately needs timestamps added otherwise most viewers are just gonna see the length and get annoyed they cant go to the part they care about
@FREEKILL9000
@FREEKILL9000 6 часов назад
He can't put timestamps into the video, the same as other Warframe creators, for the reason that it will destroy his attention retaining on the video and people will only watch the segment with the mods themselves, and that translates into RU-vid axing up the video's reach completely because of the small amount of ads displayed. For his own sake and that of his viewers, he shouldn't throw in timestamps even though they would be beneficial to us, in the long run the creator will lose out on this and have less incentive to make new better videos.

You go over every ability shows what it does how it interacts etc -The bad in my personal opinion 1. the length of the video i know i love your face and you're a good speaker but i felt like it was too long. 2. Your grey areas in knowledge i assume in some areas like how you can sudio stat stick with gladiator mods on your melee to help get your combo up faster. @DatFruitbat 9 часов назад
This a good video for your first build guide, but I'd like to clarify something you said about base excal vs umbra. It is absolutely worth investing in base excalibur, because umbra's sentience passive where he fights while you use your operator actively disables ALL of your buffs, including helminth abilities and his own buffs such as the augment furious javelin. So if you use your operator actively like me you will run out of energy having to recast everything. Not to mention, he wanders off and gets himself killed. This can be remedied by a lazy exilus augment the devs recently made to disable his passive (instead of just fixing these problems) but this takes a mod slot that could go to anything else, namely the insane qol that is primed sure footed (ik the memes). Umbra also forces 3 umbral polarities on the frame which seem nice at first, but don't really add a huge amount of survivability in higher levels due to relatively low base armour, and hurts your build flexibility. You could get rid of them, but with the rarity of umbral forma it feels pretty sacrilegious to do so. Sorry for the essay, I think your videos are great and am always happy to see them.

One thing to note on beginner modding is generally speaking, one maxxed mod is better than a few unranked mods. The upfront cost of intensify of 6, for example, only gives 5%, while at 11 a maxxed one gives 30%. that's 5 points for 25% EDIT: this is true of upgrading as well, as even one point in intensify is equivalent to the unranked mod being equipped twice (7 points for 10% as opposed to 6 for 5.)

Great vibes and new-player-friendly presentation, but there are a few points where your chat either misguided you or failed to touch on important information. - The Furious Javelin augment is essential, no matter if you're building for Slash Dash or Exalted Blade. It's a gigantic (300-400%) damage bonus that is *multiplicative with all other damage sources*, based on how many enemies you hit with Radial Javelin. - Speaking of Slash Dash, the ability is a "pseudo-exalt", meaning it uses the mods equipped on your (regular) melee weapon. This means you can "stat-stick" the ability by specifically modding your melee towards Slash Dash. With an endgame build, Slash Dash will oneshot Steel Path acolytes and hit everything in its path for tens of millions of damage. It gets far stronger than Exalted Blade when both are optimized. - Slash Dash does not give you full invulnerability, even though it turns your health and shields grey. You were technically correct that you are invulnerable to *health* damage, but it is important to emphasize that your shields will still take full damage during Slash Dash. If you are not careful, you can get oneshot coming out of Slash Dash if your health is exposed. - Lastly, Umbra is a *downgrade* from regular Excalibur. When you use Transference, Umbra will cleanse your buffs and you will have to re-apply them when you go back to frame. The Umbra polarities are also a detriment, as health tanking falls off pretty quickly on Excalibur (around enemy level 400 or so). Double shield recharge mods will do far more for survivability on an Ultimate Endgame type build. I hope this comes across as constructive - you were one of my favorite Destiny creators to watch when I still played Destiny, and I'd love to see you have the same level of success in Warframe as well.

This format has a pretty solid foundation but i do recommend time stamps. But overall a strong start 👍

Honestly this is AMAZING for new players. You go into a lot of small intricacies and details that vets look over often. Things like reading the "tips" to see extra mechanics and hovering over the skills after putting stat modifying mods to see the changes. A lot of new players may not realize they have access to all of this information even without looking at the wiki.

I recommend to just forget about pride, max out the health mod as you can, and let your teammates do all the work. You don't need a lot energy or strenght or range or duration (even armor) if you do not know what for exactly. Expecially an augment mods - they are highly specialized. Use mods that you understand what they do. I remember when I was newbie I played through shields and shield regen. Kinda weird but very simple. But if you like the effect - use it. For "late game" there is about five or ten ways to be immortal (or almost). Also, you lose experience if you constantly fall and respawn with bad build. So I think just being alive is better then cool random build. Fun fact - there is an achievement in the game for reviving 1000 allies. P.S. chromatic blade.. I mean.. chatters may be not wrong but.. yeah... :D

Damage is nice, but being alive deals more damage then being dead. Good stuff!

15:20 This isn't necessarily correct. Both Excal and he who shall not be named have their own reasons for use over the other. It is up to the player to decide who to use though. For the record, Lt. Lech Kril's AI is such that after breaking one of the tubes on his back, you can get him to slam the ground and freeze himself so you can deal damage by being above him while he's targeting you. For War specifically, it makes it so you can stand on the wire over his head to make it more consistent. For the Vor+Kril fight on Exta, jumping and aim gliding over him can help since there's not much to stand on over him.

player with over 4000 hours that mains excalibur. Good video and impressive amount of info for a newer player. handful of notes as i watch the video that you missed unless i didnt notice it: Slashdash: * Slashdash has forced slashprocs on hit * Slash dash is considered a psuedoexalted weapon, kind of. It inherits the elements of your melee weapon, and crit bonus from incarnon weapons improves its crit (base 0). this means a well built incarnon weapon can make nonexalted slash dash stronger than one with exalted blade. you can use this to create slashdash nuke builds with red crit slash procs for high level stuff. * Range stat improves the both the distance of the initial dash as well as the seek range for the automatic followups. Blind: * Blind also makes enemies susceptible to stealth melee multiplier (8x damage) BUT this bonus is lost if you touch the enemy with any part of your body before the hit. * Blinded enemies can still shoot you by firing towards any soundes they hear. absent of sound they will shoot at your last known location. * Umbras variation (radial howl) also resets sentient resistances. Javelin: * pretty spot on actually. Exalted blade: * Exalted blade being equipped also automatically blocks attacks from the front if you are not performing any action * Exalted blades spin blind has less range and duration than your actual blind ability.

Ive been absolutely loving your warframe journey so far but I’ll admit I was a little worried about you doing a warframe build guide as you’re still so new to the game. But the approach you took with this video is fantastic. You admit there’s things you don’t know and leveraged that to help others and yourself learn things about the frame and basic modding that you and others might not have known. Incredibly happy with this video and your warframe content as a whole. I hope some of the negative experiences you’ve had with the community don’t deter you from making content about and for this game I hope to see you making Warframe content for a long time to come ❤

If you like Excalibur, KEEP A BASE ONE WITH POTATO. The upgraded one has some uniqueness that actually makes him less versatile (and at times wonky) without certain compromises.

i personally just hit LR4, but a series like this is definitely still interesting to me tbh ive kinda gotten used to my usual 3 frame rotation so might be fun to try to get into other frames again 😊

in case ppl do in fact care about spoilers.....spoilers rather than saying "we won't talk about why til later cause spoilers" it may be better to say "there's a second variant for this frame but its locked behind [quest name]", something somewhat vague where you don't spoil things but aren't so vague that you just sound weirdly avoidant great video overall! it is very hard to find beginner friendly builds, while I've played a long time so they aren't super relevant for me I have friends and such who recently started so it will be nice to have videos I can link them for their favorite frames!!

For a beginner centered guide it's fine but as an end-game builder myself I would advise you look more in-depth at Helmith interaction with frames cuz many frames play completely differently when you include the helmith system

He's also not invested much into subsuming just yet, so that's not something he can make builds on. Bare in mind, he's got all this wealth of knowledge and all this information locked in his brain after only a month and a half of playing,. The guy is insanely good with info retention and picking things up as he goes!

Ah, I'd try to mention that exalted weapons scale well with ability strength. Oh, and there's always auto-fill for mods. It will do an okay job inserting as many of your best mods as possible to make an all rounder build, and most of the time it does a pretty good job. If you don't know what can you do with the mods you have, leveling mods to where you are comfortable with the costs and using auto-fill is a viable way to go.

Glad to see you investing heavily into WF. Hope to see you cover brand new frames and weapons when they come out - give you a chance to provide brand new analysis on things. Until then, hopefully see some frames covered that I generally have avoided until now besides for mastery fodder.
