Seriously tho, EXP lane is the most misunderstood job. You need to have high mobility, high damage, early game advantage, fast clear, can split push, can take down turrets fast, and can tank a bit of damage while at the same time open up your side of the map to the jungler. All of this so you can rotate fast as possible to be able to give your team a number advantage in teamfights. EXP lane is a harder job than being in the gold lane. EDIT: OMG HORORO REPLIED TO ME, but also the comments prove why the EXP laner is the most misunderstood role.

Indeed that is why EXP laner need to be aggressive as possible, hero from Fighter role that have strong early game damage is consider the best on the lane, Yu zhong, Guinevere, Dyroth, Hilda, and Chou as an example is good sidelaner. Chou is my main, being aggressive on early game is advantage. His first skill help him do well. Compare to hero like Zilong and Aldous, they might be storng late game but, what they lack is mobility, sure they do quite an amount of damage however not all players able to use them well, thats why most people pick them as jungler.

Nah, from my experience, exp laner is a lot chiller than that, sue they have lots of things to do but what they’re good at is almost _ALWAYS_ being able to take a beating when being ganked but as for Gold Lane? You’re constantly getting bullied throughout early-mid game cuz of your squishyness

But usually, when I'm getting ganked, it's because all other lanes are already destroyed and the enemy be like "this little piece of shit here need some beating" So eventually I would die because we're in losing position and there's no way I could 1vs5 while my teammates are mostly dead.

I couldn't agree more with EXP laners rarely getting blamed. That's what I like being an exp laner, it's so chill and you're less pressured. Unlike when you're a gold laner where everyone starts to blame you when the enemy team begins to take the upper hand.

Hororo makes it sounds easy in the exp lane lol. you need to make quick decisions to push, rotates or cut lanes, also your 1v1 mechanic skill. Each decision very heavily decided on the outcome of battles. Your primary roles is to zone out and backline the enemies. That is why yu zhong and Esme is always some of the meta picks in tourney

I agree. There's a lot to do when playing exp laner. Control minion waves, split push, zoning, cutting minion and join teamfight, baiting enemies skills, a lot to do... I think yu zhong just situational, but esme and paquito still S tier heroes in exp lane...

Exp lanes main job is to really zone in teamfights tbh Esme and yu zhong as you mentioned do this very well and so does most viable exp laner However shitty players use shiity heroes on exp lane like zilong who cant even zone

I rarely play exp laner much, but when I have to fill in that role, I believe I did quite a decent play. I always clear my lane, help getting turtle and help other lanes when I have the time. When I have a good team, I literally don't exist.

Basically, your job is to provide space for the team. Applying pressure on the enemy back line and on the opposite side of the map. That's why xp laners have to be mobile and good wave clear. High mechanics is also required since it is mostly 1v1 or even 1v2 if the objective is on ur side.

Such an underappreciated role but very important early game. Exp laners should help turtle and jungle invades on their side of the map. Split pushing during downtime also important. Exp laners shouldn't expect any help from their team. If enemy team is ganking you then that should mean your gold and mid is winning. It's a loss visiting exp lane. I hate crybaby exp laners who keep on asking for visits.

Using Yu Zhong or Khalid would be a better showcase on how to macro play as an EXP laner. Can't blame Haroro for picking Hilda since the draft is like that. In summary, playing EXP means you just create spaces for your teammates to do their things, if your teammates didn't capitalizes on those opportunities, honestly it's their faults. If you main EXP laner, you probably had been in a position where you fight 1v3 against the enemy, and yet your teammates didn't push turrets or even pressuring gold lane

Bruh this happen so many times. I play as minsitthar exp today. Every tower is gone except mine. What are my teammates even doing? There's one battle back then where I use zilong (it's around mid game) and I got ganked by 3 people (chou, paquito and the enemy hyper I don't remember who). I managed to kill paquito while everyone else retreat and yet my incompetent teammates are still struggling.

I've been playing Hilda Exp lately. She's so much fun. Dealing toms of dmg early game and being able to pressure the enemy jg with the passive and speed from s1. I usually get High and Dry and then build full or semi tank.

When I use Julian against sustain tanky enemies I just enhance second skill to clear wave then rotate to mid or wherever needs me there cuz there’s no point trying to fight them I’ll just die after my combo if they survived. Julian’s passive basic atk can push turrets very well so when I see a chance I push the turrets like crazy

What is the most difficult for being exp laner? When enemies are all targeting you that made you went 1V4 for the early stage, your stupid team couldn't gather to help you (most of the time mid lane not even giving enemy in his/her lane are missing) and yet they could fed to the one and only mm at opposite lane while the tank are nanny the mm since the 0 second of the game.

As for me, i usually take exp lane as my main role and if my team smart enough at mid lane usually rotate to gold lane so it's my job to secure mid lane minion and going back to exp lane so both lane can still hold longer, and if there is any chance i do the gank in mid lane and turtle around exp lane is that hard? 😉 To summarize that exp lane role to me is more like supporting role that could suppress enemies gameplay

I usually go help exp lanes as a mage user , giving exp laner early game advantage will give your team number advantage in early team fights , have seen so many exp laners being fed enough to fight 1 vs 3 , even gold laner was a great feeder

Exp lane job is pretty simple : clear lanes as quick as possible, help your allies as much as u can especially when taking turtle or lord or invade enemy buff, work as a second wall for your allies or maybe a flanker to fk their position. Make surr u can tank quite a hit but deal lots of damage to back line if you try to be flanker. Open map and zone is also important especially at late game, if possible try to secure and make a perimeter around the lord in 40s or 60s before lord spawn. Secondly you have to tried protect your back line if possible since your job is a second wall. Simple right? The hero? Depend on your play style. Like to be tanky ? pick esme, fredin, terizla etc. Like to be a canon glass(full damage)? Pick badang, dyroth, paquito, etc. And guess what? Nobody cares if you shit at it as long u dont mess up ur lane so bad u lost all of your turret in 5 minute

job desk exp laner always depends hero u want pick, n playstyle u want. as long the hero not minion clear disable. can be counter enemy draft pick or playstyle. even some assassin n mage or karrie can be brutal on exp lane. thats why exp laner often last pick or can swap with jungler hero. some coach MPL say "exp laner is the key of strategy".

Just finished a game with Alpha. I was fighting Zilong and their Jungle, Dyrroth, keeps ganking me. I had a really hard time but it paid off cuz our MM got super fed lol

Explaner here, this is so relate. sometimes the enemy core ambush you or the enemy team gag you. once you are delayed, it's hard to catch up. always have map awareness, play aggressively at early game, don't be cocky, pick the hero is suitable that can counter their hero, don't attack wrecklessly because their are some enemy hiding in the bush waiting for you. i use Alpha, Esmeralda, Julian, Dyrroth, Fredrynn, Minsitharr, Martis, Kaja, Saber as a Explaner. if the enemy has Phoveus, pick Esmeralda. if the enemy has Fanny, pick Chou, Eudora, Saber. if the enemy has alot of Cc, pick Martis or Diggie. if the enemy relies on Sustain such as Ruby, Esmeralda, Uranus, Gatotkaca then pick Baxia, Karrie, Lunox.

i got a yin who had a kda of 0 7 0 all bcos of 1v1 vs balmond. i was playing wanwan n i didn't realize that he was feeding until my first death because i was being ganked by a lot of enemies. We lost with me being mvp of losing team. btw if u were curious, yin final kda was 1 19 2

Finally, average EXP lane tutorial is here. 😎 Main reasons why I love Fighters: Can both dealing and taking sustained damage at the same time, has most pure 1v1, serves as secondary punching bag at the center of teamfight, and can get objectives with help of their unique playstyle, and of course, PEACEFULNESS. Although it's kinda underrated though, most teams without them (specially Thamuz) stand no chance in 1v1 against other enemies. Edit: And also, EXP lane heroes (beside fighters) is also my best heroes specially due to following reason portrayed by Hororo Chan.
