Just reset them and they won’t be connected to any phone at all, the original owner can’t do anything. Just connect them to your phone and you’re set

Even though the AirPods have been factory reset , the hardware is still registered to the previous owner. So they will need to deregister the AirPods from their iCloud account.

@@vinvinsmamaful I went to T-Mobile to get the new iPhone and I asked them about it and they’re like we’re sorry this is happening to you but yes you’re being tracked. Their advice was to just buy new ones. They also told me one of the AirPods is different too… so they’re not the original… so he’s tracking me with the case and the AirPod itself. I still use them when I go to work, but when I go out and about now I leave them at home. So pretty much T-Mobile said even though I factory reset it.. he can still see where I am.

@@vinvinsmamaful even though he’s blocked he would still send me his location… I have NO IDEA HOW… I realized after the fact since he was tracking me.. if he saw I was somewhere I wasn’t normally at he would send me his location as if to get my attention 🙄🙄🙄… I don’t know how he does that since he’s blocked… but he hasn’t done it lately… I don’t know if the AirPods had anything to do with that. He also bought me this phone I’m currently using and the T-Mobile lady told me when I get my new iPhone to bring it in and she’ll do everything for me in case he somehow set something up through my Apple ID or through this phone etc. A real psycho I chose 🤦🏽‍♀️🙄!!

Before trying any fixes make sure you have a backup of all your data on your iMac. As working in Safe mode will display an image on your screen, my first guess would be that you have a corrupted graphics driver. Unlike Windows were you can just download and reinstall the driver, on macOS you will need to try a different trick. The first trick probably will require a second computer so you can download something called a Combo update. A Combo update is a 2-3Gb file that wraps all macOS updates into one bundle. The Combo update can be thought of as an “over the top” reinstall of macOS, so should leave your data intact. You can find the combo updates on apples support site - support.apple.com/downloads/macos Alternatively, if you have a Time Machine Backup, you could restore your computer by using your backup. Once again this Apple support article will help you to enter macOS Recovery mode - support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204904 Failing that, there is also the option to reinstall macOS. It’s been at least 7 years since I had to use this tool, so make sure you have a backup before you start, but I think you can use macOS recovery to perform an over the top reinstall of macOS. My guess is to use the upgrade option which is Option-⌘-R Hope this helps get your Mac fixed

Yes the AirPods will remain linked to the original owners Apple account (and traceable by them) until the original owner removes the AirPods from their Apple ID.
