The Gazellelab shows you 2 methods to data wipe and factory reset your Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone. There is also a 3rd method which you can perform by entering *2767*3855#
This was great - Thanks!! My screen went black and the digitizer broke. I was able to use the hardware keys to reset the phone. I was able to follow along with the video and press the correct number on the volume controls. I confirmed the reset with my computer via USB cable. Now I can sell or send out for repair without fear of personal account info getting into the wrong hands. Thanks again.
I had the same problem as a lot of people did with getting stuck on the Samsung logo screen. To fix it, I waited until my phones battery died and then I plugged it into my charger. I turned it back on using the second reset method as shown in the video. Then I wiped my cache and did the reset factory data or whatever that one is and then I selected reboot and it worked. :P
I could able to get access to bypass my daughter's google account and unlock the phone and also hack my wife's phones and now I could able to get the full access to my her phone through the help of HACKMARVIN11 on Instagram.....
Wow.....thankyou so much!!! That helped me out so much. I downloaded a bad screen locker. Thought it was cute and I didn't like it very much from the start. It was hard to drag and it slowly took over my phone. It only allowed me in for about 10-15 seconds but it wouldn't give enough time to go to settings so the second option was a life saver. I was stressed for almost a week. Your video was incredibly helpful. Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou!!!!!!!
Thanx. I had 2 s3's that I had to return, I knew the pw for mine but not the other. I had to use both methods. the hardware reset for the one I didn't know the password for. Worked perfectly. Now I can return the phones worry free!!
This is really help full if you locked your self out the phone, some people in my area doesn't know this, so they come to me I charge them $5 each device, I've reset about 50 phones by now hehehhee
Thank you so much. My phone was locked with Kaspersky mobile security and I forgot the password and my device was locked. You helped my so much. Thank you again.
Great video! Thanks for your clear and detailed steps. It worked perfectly on my S3 Sprint version. I first did a factory reset and then a complete wipe. Maybe performing a factory reset FIRST will help those getting stuck; just a thought.
So if you see your friend's Galaxy lying around and it's PIN protected, you can just wipe all their data using the hard key method. It'd be an ace practical joke!
For all of you having problems "stuck at Samsung logo". First of all wait like 10 minutes. If nothing happens, do next: remove battery and wait a minute until you put battery back in. Then hold volume up key + home button and then hit power button until vibrate. Now you should see Android logo. After this, select (with volume up / down keys) "wipe cache partition" and hit Power key (to confirm). After that select "Wipe data/Factory" and again confirm with Power button and select "yes". If there is still red letters on screen, wipe cache again few times more, and then wipe data/factory and then select "reboot". It should work perfectly after that. Keep me on the top, so it can help other people too, who are facing same problem.
It worked for me i was already panic when it was stuck at samsung logo after a few wipe cache partition it and wipe data factory it loaded it up like new back to factory settings thanks alot.
+Ekrima Aljaali dislikes is because they are the ones that we pay to do stuff like this for us so if somone puts it on youtube then they wont like it lol
Can I store all my data in the computer (like pictures, apps and stuff) before resetting if I actually dont want to lose them during the factory data reset? Also, when I have all my phone numbers on SD card, does this process also delete the numbers? Thank you!
Thanks! Method one wasn't possible since my menus didn't match what you were showing, but luckily, #2 did! Now I can get what I assume will be a stupidly low price for my old phone from that machine in Walmart, but a few dollars is better than tossing it back into a drawer, right?!
