Thanks! The reset worked but didn't fix my problem. My Charge 4 will turn on but in about 4 seconds turns off by itself. I haven't used it for several months but it worked the last time I touched it.
Same for me. I just turn it on it runs for a good 5 seconds and turns off then automatically turns back on. And when I try to charge it the speaker doesn't go past one circle it just stay's on it and blinks.
@@cronjobjalopy3915 there a two solutions I’ve found Firstly you can leave it on charge for days until it reaches full charge. Even then I would keep it on charge every time you use it and after a while of just keeping it on charge it’ll work fine again Secondly you can do the factory reset like in this vid but it has iffy results
Hello, mine isn’t making any sound at all. I can’t hear the on/off sound or the Bluetooth pairing sound. But I am able to Connect it to Bluetooth but It doesn’t put out any sound. I have a charge 4, and I tired to reset it. Any suggestions?
This reset completely ruined the functionality doesn’t turn off now still doesn’t take a charge STILL and now I can’t connect or even try to pair great !
I was charging mine when the LED lights that show how much it's charged suddenly turned off, I pulled out the cable and put it in again and it was charging for around 10 seconds and then the same thing again

HELP! I have a Flip 4 that apparently has a mind of its own. Tried following your instructions to do a factory reset but it continues to just turn on and off randomly. Its off warranty and JBL could only offer a discount to buy a new one.
How can I do it so that only 1 person connect to it cause it's really annoying starting playing something and the other person connected playing something too pls help

Will this make my speaker charge again? Mine stopped taking a charge. I can get it to come on for about two minutes and then it powers off again. It sounds awesome when it’s on but it won’t stay on and it won’t take a charge. Seems a shame to throw the thing away when it has such awesome sound still. But what good is that if I can’t get it to charge?
I did that to my jbl charge 4 and now it does`t turn on.If i plug it to the charger the turn on button goes white and i get the turning on sound. Any ideas how i can get it starting again?
Hey Max, My speaker would not charge past light 'one' so I attempted to reset it to factory settings the way you did and now my speaker won't turn on. Now, mind you, prior to me attempting the steps that you have given, the oval of the control panel did not light up when I turned it on before. Is there something that you can tell me to get my speaker to function well and also take a charge? My thanks in advance!
I'm not sure about that. That's something I don't mess with, given that it can really mess your speakers up. I would assume it would, but can't say for sure. May not hurt to try.

Thanks for video. Hope this works. My speaker battery ran down all the was and then will not accept a charge. Usbc cable is brand new and only first battery light blinks. It never goes past first one and won’t charge😢
I got a JBL charge 4 and my issue is i used all my C-cable i own and it doesn't want to charge any battery into the speaker and i don't know what to do.... can anyone help me out?
I did this and once i reconnected my phone it still wasn’t working… the audio keeps playing through my phone even though it’s connected to the speaker. anyone know what to do? :(
You have to press the Bluetooth button to put the device in pairing mode, which you'll know because the Bluetooth button will be flashing. If Bluetooth is just on and not in pairing mode, other people won't be able to pair with it. I'd recommend testing it for yourself with other devices and I think you'll see what I'm talking about.
I read that this has worked for many. It did not work for me. Nothing happens when I push and hold those buttons. I have blisters in my fingers for holding them down minutes.
Ok So my speaker wasn’t charging just blinking one light while it was connected I factory reset it using this method and so for so good it is charging now has one solid light and one blinking light let’s hope it works
The way he only responds to people who say that their speaker was fixed with this method and people who killed their speaker he just leaves in the dark
Great question. I honestly don't know. I'd recommend checking the FAQ page for the Charge 4 to see if it's on there. Also, you may want to reach out to JBL support.
Sir dalton. I just bought the jbl charge 4 and i have problem only one problem my JBL is always turning on EVEN WHEN i turn it off after a couple of seconds it will turn on again what shoult i do
