Q: What if it says that I need to free up additional space?
A: You can try deleting a lot of your needless data as seen here; • How To Clear Cache - D... . If that does not work, then you will have to install Windows new.

If you cant create your own, you may have to purchase it. You can see an example of a good install media USB in the Repair Tools list here; www.amazon.com/shop/pcmonkey.
Q: What are some other Function keys that may work?
A: Usually, I use F11 or F9. Some viewers have used F12. Lenovo Ideapad 330 has used F10.
Some viewers have to use a pin to press a 'reset style' button on the side. This could be the case if you have an Ideapad S340, a s145,

You saved me! My Lenovo symbol would turn on and then stay black. I did the reset and it took a lonnggg time but worked!! Oh and it gave me the option to save “my stuff” during reset or wipe it. I didn’t have anything on it since I use a separate network for work so I did a full wipe. Thank you so much! With Covid-19 happening there was a long wait to get my laptop looked at and I work from home everyday. Lifesaver!! 🙂

there was a tiny button on the Lenovo we found and are rebooting... next to the power plug. Pressed it when in off state and it took us to troubleshoot options. Resetting it now, thanks👍

Hi! Thank you for this, it has been useful with the boot loop my old Lenovo ThinkPad is in. I have some questions before this step, should I save all my docs into a drive? And, can I do that even if I can't get the computer to start?

Yes, you should back up your data before performing a Factory Reset if you dont want to loose data. However, if you cant get your computer to start, then you wont be able to. If there is data on your Drive that you wish to save, you would have to bring it to a computer shop and have them try to save the data from the drive first.

Hey PC Monkey, I would like you to help me with a white screen fix on my lenovo thinkpad edge. Once I could use it with an external monitor, but it has recently just shutdown, I tried your black screen fixes: reseeding RAM ect. On a service call with Lenovo I was instructed to hold down the relevant entry key first and then press the power button while continuing to hold the Function key (in my case F12) until the machine entered the BIOS or whichever menu. It worked for me.

For those that dont know.if you using a lenovo s145 on the right side of the laprop next to the earphones port is a small reset hole that you will need to press using a small pin then it will reset and follow the options

Awesome vid! I noticed when copying an old disk, that in addition to the C partition for windows OS there’s another D primary partition called LENOVO. It’s 25GB that’s just sitting empty but can I safely merge it? Suspect it’s related to the Novo recovery since it was from the factory…

just to help anyone, i couldn’t find the f button to reset it. But there is a small hole at the bottom of the left side of the laptop. It is next to the long hole ( idk what it is lol). You will need a pin or a pick to touch the button. After that it will come up with options, pick the one with the screwdriver on it then factory reset. (I have a lenovo ideapad 320) right now it is resetting again. If i remember to comment on this i will tell you if it works :)

In the menu to restore pc with a light blue background (5:34 alike), 2 options appear: 1. delete the drive only where windows is installed 2. delete all drives... what happens if I select option 2 of all drives? is the windows image deleted? (or is it in another partition?) I know that in D: there was a OneKeyrecovery folder and a Lenovo folder with restricted access for admin, colored transparent

Hi there, i have many issues with my laptop that are slows down, some errors. Especially i'm doing this because i have an error in microsoft store, says "page could not be loaded" and i have tried many solutions but it didn't work. screen turns on and tajes me to bios, i managed to fix it though when by pressing f12 with the power key when it showed american mega trends on the screen the light on the far right indicates the connected os on startup i think

Thank you Jamin. I'm running into the issue of Bitlocker recovery key, how to do I get around this? It's a old company Lenovo ThinkPad that is locked by the company's IT admin and I want to use it for personal use, wipe it clean and I already have Windows 10 on a usb flash drive (from your video). When I hit Skip This Drive, it's just putting me in a loop and not allowing ne to Remove Everything. Does anyone know if this will be the same setup for a Lenovo V14 laptop with windows 10/ windows 11 setup? Also if setup the laptop with a new create account on the blue page for Microsoft account can you change that later after finish setup with new account by going back later somehow to put in/ install new Microsoft account in the laptop without possibly resetting the whole laptop such as a factory reset etc.? As I am completely new and using my Lenovo V14 laptop for 1st time originally had a Toshiba L850 pro with windows 7/ Windows 8.1 in the past. Thank you, Tom.

Hi! Love your videos as they are easy to follow and clear but as I reset it says and has been saying for a while additional free space is needed and to free up space and try again but there are no files saved as when I turn on my Lenovo laptop I’m always taken into a temporary account for some reason. When I turn it on it also says ‘ we can’t sign into your account - the problem can often be fixed by signing out if your account and then signing back in‘ I try this every time and it still logs me into the temp Microsoft account. Can you please give some insight as I’m a struggling student and really don’t want to have to buy a new laptop :(

It's at 10% right now. Thanks for this video I wish I found this a long time ago. Lenovo Ideapad takes like 45 minutes to boot then lags on everything once it's up. I hope it works!

I was unable to reset pc because i did multiple changes in order to stop the system from eating up my internet data. Later I used different method to reset the pc. Post which I see the entire user interface has changed. I want to have the graphics and interface which i had when my new laptop had arrived. Do you know how can i do that?

It is asking for me to insert windows installation or recovery media to continue with my reset. Is there a way to bypass this step?

My laptop is lenovo thinkpad x200 windows 10. It has pen support but then i dont know when it started but it says that no pen and touch available on this display. By reseting my laptop it can help me to restore my pen support. I tried system restore but it wont work. Resetting is may only choice??

Hi there, thanks for the informative video. I tried to reset my Lenovo idea pad from advance options but it shows that there is a problem so I had to cancel the resetting process. Can you help me with that? I also tried from reset PC from direct option but it always require some spaces. I deleted lots of files but still impossible to reset. Your help is indeed. Thanks

If you are unable to Reset your computer, you may want to consider a fresh install of Windows as your next option. I did this (from another website's tips) - and now I'm stuck in a blue page of death. On Lenovo V110 I have the error NTFS FILE SYSTEM. I have tried all, I can find D, to no avail. I've tried your other video, that changes between Legacy (and I forget the other name)... Done all them cha fed, yet I'm back, at the start, looping the blue page. I got caught with the chromium browser, couldn't remove it, so I reset my lappy. A month later, I caught it again, so reset again, but something was different, like the icons were a little different, different blue, in the background (someone told me it looks like a windows 8 homepage) . So I reset AGAIN, (3rd time)... And I'm stuck now, with the blue screen loop. Any help please. Im ready to kick my lappy in the loft. Fk it, it will stay there, if I can't fix this.

I have a problem .I wrote msconfig to enter system configurations - Boot - and i UNTEAK the NU of processors box ! It ask for restart ,I said yes .And now the problem is that it says Your pc did not start correctly, and it gives me the option of RESTART .I press that but the same goes on as in a circle again and again !
