Why does it take so long to unlock an Alcatel basic phone a 2045X , 02 say they have had to ask Alcatel for a code and it's been 7 days now , 02 say it can take up to 10 days but i am not holding my breath .

O2 makes it as hard as possible to leave them - even when you have told them you are leaving because the phone contract has ended - and you will carry on using the phone with a new contract - from a new provider - they will help you with a PAC number - but can't be helpful to say you will need to have the phone unlocked. and this is what you do. Then they ask for customer service feedback !
