Thanks for the great info! I'm watching all your videos as training for my new HR job. My family business is getting off the ground and I was asked to fill this HR position. We'll have less than 20 employees so it shouldn't be too intimidating, as I have zero HR knowledge. I have a feeling I'll be contacting you for one-on-one coaching at some point. Thank you for now!

I am practicing HR at the moment, have been on it for the past 5 years, work with two different organisations. What I can say it's good to have vast experience on the job and grow up professionally, no one organisation can make you reach the climax of an HR profession. As I have notice organisation varies in practice on HR response. The laws of the countries are there but policies, cultures and practices of HR varies from one Organisation to another. Happy to be connected here as you enlightening us about the core of HR.

You are absolutely correct! Although I have around 20 years experience in the HR space, I always had a disconnect and never wanted to obtain my certification. It was just a job to me. Now, I'm 55 and seeing how that has not served me well.

There are several resources out there, but the largest ones are SHRM, HRCI, CIPD.
