Thanks this another great video. Kindly make a tutorial video on how to edit Real estate videos for Novice like us. Please I will appreciate it. Thanks you are the best...
I tried this method before watching this video but as I was unaware , the shadow of my stand ruined the whole game...but after watching this video i will be extra cautious next time... thank you...all of your videos are very helpful. I learned a lot from you Sir... LOVE FROM INDIA.
Lol 😂 love it. My wife bought me a gimbal for Christmas and I did this using a tripod. Now I know I should use a light stand and I just happen to have one.
This is perfect for a car dealership to make quick videos of their inventory or a real estate agent to list a house. Not hard to do and has a good impact. Great video 👍🏻
I've used a similar technique with a long selfie stick, gimbal and a Xiaomi Yi action camera. By attaching a smart phone to the base of the stick it is possible to see exactly what you are filming via a wi-fi link to the camera.
Or if you have an old iPhone laying around you can use FilmicPRO and their remote app which lets you view the iPhone capture from another iPhone that you can mount to the base of the light stand.
This video isn’t about trying to get a drone shot on a budget, this video is about getting a drone shot when you can’t fly a drone. There are many reasons why you might not be able to fly a drone 1) You don’t have a drone 2) You don’t have the skill to fly a drone 3) You can’t get permission to fly 4) Its too dangerous to fly (too many people etc) 5) You don’t want the noise of a drone 6) You’re not limited to a 20min flight time. Also, if you already have a smartphone (which most people do) then this is definitely the cheaper option compared to buying a drone. I hope this helps and thanks for watching 👌🎥
you just blew my mind!!! I've always wanted to add "drone" shots to my videos but can't afford one. Now, I have a simple technique! you just gained a new subscriber!
Come to North INDIA.... but do a little bit of research before😏 or otherwise you will land to a garbage instead of this scene.... And ya... I AM SERIOUS
Man, you won't believe. I was literally and eagerly waiting for this Video. You hinted in a reply to someone stating, "If you are looking for crane shot, a video is coming soon" Cheers...
I'm trying to get work doing real estate photography in a high-end housing development that prohibits use of drones, so this technique will be useful for sure.
Why i can't get this type of stable fottage. I use Moza mini S gimbal and My phone has also Optical image stabilization. Please make a video on how to practice with gimbal to get more stable shots...👃
Brilliant! I was looking for ways to get the most from my phone gimbal and I came across this. This is one of the cleverest things I've seen and now I hope to use it.
BTW Steve I can't be the only person who'd warmly welcome a vid from you purely on how you move with a gimbal. Everyone says bend your knees heel and toe and practice practice practice, but I think it's like cooking where there are a lot of little things beyond that you have to get right. As good as you are, you may have discovered some of them and I know I'd pay attention if you shared some of them. Thanks again for all this great content and congrats on the rising subscribers.
واہ ۔ بہت زبردست ۔ بہت مزہ آیا ۔ اور سیکھنے کو ملا ۔ شکریہ Wow Very good . It was a lot of fun. And got to learn. Thanks براہ مہربانی بارش تیز ہو رہی ہو اس کس طرح ویڈیو شوٹ کریں ۔ موبائل فون بھی پانی سے محفوظ رہے ؟ Please shoot a video of how it is raining hard. Mobile phones also safe from water? Love From Karachi Pakistan 🇵🇰
As usual with your videos simple techniques easily explained . Very inspiring, I use a lot of your ideas and this is another one going into my box of tricks. Thanks Steve I really appreciate your channel
@@LearnOnlineVideo thank you so much. I'm so excited to try everything :) Love your channel. Thank you for making this hopeful film maker see that these are practical.
The Google Pixel 6 Pro, unfortunately won’t allow wide angle if a) you are shooting on more than 30 fps or b) you are shooting in less than 100% speed. What do you recommend I do? I just got the phone AND the Smooth Q3.
As soon as I seen the thumbnail to this video I knew exactly where this is nuns Cross farm Dartmoor. I'm buying the DJI osmo 4 and the mini 2 drone next month but unfortunately your not allowed to fly drones on Dartmoor so I've thought about filming like this so now I've seen your video I know its going to work thank you so much a sub from me😁👍
"I'll see you and raise you 10 .... feet". I have a pool cleaning pole with three extension sections, can extend up to about 15 feet. Right now it has a tree saw bolted to the end of it, but I am going to figure out how to attach (securely!) a 1/4" tripod screw for the gimbal base. Then we are "taking it higher"! Great ideas here, Steve!!! Thank you for putting this together!
I tried a drone shot with my 15-foot long aluminum pool cleaning pole. I clamped a short (6") tripod to the end and securely attached a Moza Mini Mi gimbal and LG G7 phone. I discovered that the weight of the gimbal/phone was pretty precarious when the pole was extended all the way, it was waving around, not stable enough for a good slow clip. The total weight with the gimbal and phone is over 2 pounds. So I ordered a Hohem iSteady X gimbal (reviewed by the Steve Wright on the Hohem channel!). It weighs 257 grams, just under 8 ounces. With the phone, the load is under a pound! Haven't tried it yet for a real estate shoot, but am planning to hike the phone up on the pole and get a video of my second-story rain gutter to see what's clogging it.
I'm wanting to get a drone (DJI MAVIC Mini) because it is better, and well, FUN! And I want to get into aerial photography and videography. Great videos its like a course! I love it Brilliant JOB. I'm trying to do what you do in your videos. GREAT JOB!!!!
Well, that was bloody good! I did try my Go Pro on a big stick in one YT video, but keen to try this with iPhone and slowed down makes for an epic feel. Thanks for this ATB
I skip this video more than 5 times as I don't want to invest something these days. I thought it is something like the GoPro pole. Today, I realize it is just something that standing next to my table. I had a similar light stand for a year and a half. Thanks for sharing this amazing tip. Now I know that I have everything to shoot a fake drone shot. I have seen this a few times but never wanted to find out what it is.. thanks.
I've got a smartphone with gimble. Units camera. Like ois and DIS( digital image stabilization ). And when you move while recording it looks professional, and when shake it , it hover a very little so you can guess the ois ( optical image stabilization)
I realize this video is now 2 years old but quite amazing and excellent! I do find this very interesting and will employ these techniques in my footage even though I do own a drown. As you stated, there are many times when we can't fly a drone. So this fills the bill and can be quite a bit quicker to setup and shoot than getting a drone up in the sky. 👍
Man you're Rocking, congrats, my DJI Osmo 4 is on it's way that's why found your videos, I see them very interesting and useful, thank you for making this type of content... Guatemala City
