Still works, but getting quick silver is pretty inconsistent. Over the first hour I only got 400. The second hour I got 700. If you do it all day it’s better than the daily missions. Just wish it was more consistent. Thanks for the video man. 🤙🏽

That's what I like about no man's sky, in creative mode, you don't need to spend units or nanites, but you still need to spend quicksilver so you can't just get exotics for free, so there's still some challenge to it.

Nice little bonus method of getting quicksilver, when the daily missions run out. I wonder if there's any star system requirements for spawning stellar ice (like a blue star, etc), or if it's all just random based on seed.

They're random just like all the other space encounters. But all space encounters stay in the same system. I've found 3 systems that have condensed stellar ice

Just tested this and it works. The ratio of Quicksilver for me is 1 in 10 with very few variances. I can do roughly 80 reloads per hour if my goal is exclusively Quicksilver. First hour I got 1000 Quicksilver, 2nd hour I got 800 and 3rd hour I got 600 so I think it's a diminishing return or perhaps that was just a coincidence. I plan to keep trying it as this is the only reliable and continuous source of Quicksilver in the game at present as far as I'm aware. Thanks again Jason! ^_^ I would also like to mention that sometimes I got 3 in 10 and sometimes 0 in 10 in a row but it ended up compensating with 4 in 10 somewhere down the line, so when I drew the line at 1 hour or 100 reloads, the 1 out of 10 was the average consistency. Now it's up to your ability to reload fast and use your ship efficiently as far as speed is concerned.

Still works as of May 5th 2022 11:34 pm. Still a reliable way of getting infinite quicksilver. Some tips I have from my personal experience are to pulse AS SOON AS YOU CAN when you get out of the space station. TURN OFF MULTIPLAYER, it spawns within 3-5 seconds after pulsing. I got 1000 quicksilver within 40 minutes.

This still works on PC after the Companions update. Took me about 10-15 tries for my first deposit of QS. Got another right after the first. From my experience, normal material names (ie. Dioxite, Uranium, Condensed Carbon) will appear below the stellar ice resembling how it looks while mining; but QS will not. So if you're mining the stellar ice and no element pops up, it's a good chance to be QS or nanites. Thank you Jason and Steve.

I’m trying it now feb 23rd after the pet update and I have reloaded my save file about 30 times now and have only got 100 quiksilver so idk how well it was working for you but they must have nerfed this at one point

i used same system when i collected Salvaged Frigate Module. Easy and really quick way to collect those ;) 1. Space Station. 2. Find Frigate with Salvaged Frigate Module pods. 3. Shoot pods. 4. Go back to the Station before frigate fighters attack you. 5. Save and do it all again

@@ggl115 well there has a been 2 that I know of. 1 was literally just selecting an anomaly mission and abandoning it over and over again, then when you finally finish 1 mission it would give you all the quicksilver for the missions you abandoned. The other was a freighter fight or something, I never did that one just watched a video on it.

Jus quick tip. You don't need to go back to the space station. I usually just call the anomaly to me and do the quick save there. However, I even made a base on one of the planet to quickly teleport there when I want to do the farming so I don't need the portal anymore. It is really random that is a fact, but sometimes you may get lucky like I had another day 8 out of 10 times I got Quicksilver but also happens sometimes you won't get it for 10 runs in the row so just don't give up.

Because I have only 5 bases for me it is more convenient to teleport to my base (instead of find the right system out of hundreds of system) from my main system and then I use only the anomaly to land-reload. So I am not using my base to land and fly off, only to get into the system. I hope this is make more sense like this?

This does still work. Euclid galaxy. Immediately upon reset, jump in your ship, leave the station, then pulse. Sometimes you'll get quicksilver in 5 tries other times it'll be 40+. Other times you'll get quicksilver multiple times in a row. It's just completely random. Also, yes you get trade ships, but only when you're too slow, pulse as fast as possible when resetting your autosave. Good luck!

This was a cool thing to discover!...however the sheer amount of times you have to fly back to the space station and reload in the hope that you get a measly 100 quicksilver is so time consuming and boring you might as well keep doing Nexus missions.

Still works today but very random. Not 9/10 that you'll find some more like 1 out 6. I picked a spot in space and kept using my pulse in that direction until I got Quicksilver. It's either you get Condensed Carbon, Dioxite, Uranium, Nanites, D-Hydrogen or Quicksilver. I tried every direction, it's not directional, it doesn't matter. Not a fast way to get quicksilver but it's good way to get that missing quicksilver without having to wait until the next day to go through a Quicksilver Mission.

Thanks Jason Plays and Captain Steve for this! PS4 user and it still works. Here's a few tips I found during my farming, I don't know if it was mentioned before: - When you're close enough to the Condensed Stellar Ice and shoot it a little, it'll show what item you'll get after shooting it down. If nothing shows up (no material name), you'll most likely get nanites or quicksilver. - As soon as your autosave is loaded, immediately leave the Space Station to then pulse drive. The chances for the Anomaly to appear were higher in my case. - If you pulsed for more than 5-10 seconds and nothing shows up or if another traveler wants to trade, reload your auto-save. Yo ik this is like a year old, but thanks for the tips, these helped make my farming WAY more efficient, and to add onto them: I decided to try reloading after getting quicksilver to see if it would be quicker in case you kept the quicksilver theoretically sue to them being more of an account item rather than tied to a single save, do NOT do this, it resets your quicksilver to before you got it and will fuck over your last attempt.

I think there are six to eight possible items or elements which, if entirely random, will give you the odds of getting ""quick" silver. Not as fast as one would like but something to grind while awaiting anomaly missions. I obtained enough quick silver to get my first void egg in part using this process.

It seems like having a bounty nearby causes this to not work properly, killed the bounty, landed back at station, saved, reloaded, pulsed and it worked again.

So just to see what the odds (more or less) are. I ran it 50 times. Here's what i got.. Traders(outbound not inbound) 5 times. I always got one returning to the station. QS 14 times dyhy 7 times (600 to 800 per) CondCarb 11 times (1300 to 1500 per) Urain 5 times (1400 to 1700 per) Diox 3 times (1600 to 1800 per) Nanites 4 times (225 to 325 per) and 1 NADA! killed pulse after 1:10 run. not counted in the numbers--- PS4 crashed after about the 4 run. But was fine after. average time for anomaly notice-- 8 seconds Shortest was 6 longest was 11 Take what you will from this post. Just thought i'de put the info out there.

It’s a weird glitch but if you shoot the condensed ice right next to it your guaranteed nanites or quicksilver but you have to be so close your ship is touching the ice.

I think this is Broken now. Every time I try it now, I get this "Emergency Civilization Shelter Pod" and I have no idea what to even do with it? Just a giant shielded sphere **UPDATE** Yes, it looks like it has been replaced by this. I have tried 4 plus jumps and for something that is supposed to be "Very Rare" it has happened every single time and there is nothing you can do after you find it.

assuming an average of 25 quicksilver/minute (100 in four runs 100/4=25) you will get about 1,500 in an hour and that is rounding up each run to a minute

Have a question Jason have you ever used your ships positron ejector to farm planet side materials? I just started doing this and I can fill my 48 slot hauler full of mats to sell in about 2-3 minutes with this method. Cheap free way to make 6-10 million units for 5 minutes work.

I'd happy take the fast quicksilver missions and then do something more with my time from the Nexus over reloading and reloading and reloading until I got 100 quicksilver from the ice. Anyway, my point is - you're good for your channel because you make the most mundane, tedious activities seem fun. lol

Came across this video trying to get my Living Ship and it seems the address leads elsewhere now. I put it into a portal and it lead me to a totally different system. Maybe I put it in slightly wrong? I dunno

I have entered everything correctly but keep ending up in some different place then you did. Is this only possible if you have not jumped galaxies?

July 12 2022, still working with one caveot. On my Xbox Series X you must wait for the item received text to disappear from hud before reloading. If you reload before it may glitch and you will only get the traveling trader and NOT the ice until you warp out and back.

No luck. Kept getting Trader. A lot longer road to Living Ship than I'd hoped. 🙄 Going to keep on looking. 🤞🏻

I've only been playing NMS for about a week and your videos have helped alot, thanks dude. In on xbox and my game crasher every 2 or 3 hours during pretty much anything loading/saving related. Is this normal?

Yup. Game is riddled with bugs, but still too fun to stop. Nearly lost 7 days of gametime because I forget to hard save and I was stuck in a glitch in the anomaly.
