No bullcrap Clay its Jan 3rd 2020 iam at a driving range in LI NY raining cold dont really care !!!! I watch alot of your work clay I also belong to top speed golf ,,,, iam giving it my best shot on range watching this video and it's really no bullcrap working for me never hot it further and I also feel like iam swinging correctly which is a hugh mental game!!! Iam 55 yrs old with around 90s swing speed and high 120s low 130s swing speed obviously it all comes down to contact which I've learned from you !!!! When iam upper middle club face iam killing it 240 250 the best I've ever hit a drive so with all that chatter just wanna let some fans know that it work if you put in effort and thank you tremendously from me to top speed golf !!! Awesome

After using only arms for years and a fake body turn after ending on my back foot I was hitting all of my clubs very inconsistent. After watching your videos I have gone to my shoulders and body moving my arms and have gained so much distance and consistency. Just my 7 went from 160 to an easy 175. Thanks man you do a great job

Great Video, Clay! After so many over-technical lessons, this one really hits home. Just letting go, with the freedom of full arm and body extension, without thinking too much, is what it's all about.

Only use the glove drill with 1/2 swing.. but in the end , you should be able to feel the connecting to your torso, because u need it to compress the golf ball. When you wanna hit a shot, do it with no glove 3/4 swing.. u cant hit a shot when your focus is on not dropping the glove. Thx for the videos.. cheers

The tennis racket drill you showed in another video really makes the downswing connection "click" for me. The wrist action of squaring the face makes the tucked-in right elbow feel automatic for me.

Want to thank you immensely, thanks to your drills and knowledge Im getting more consistent contact, but most importantly I can identify what Im doing wrong when I hit a bad shot vs what I am doing right when I hit it well. That has been a game changer for me! I'm dropping my 9hole scores by 5/6 strokes this season and enjoying golf 1000% more!

What I call "The Move" is the key to not spinning out. If you do that, you can open as much as you want. I cover it on the website.

Hi Clay. What if I am 6’5”? I can get about 230-240 of carry when I stripe it but I feel like I could definitely generate more speed somehow. With my long arms it’s very easy to become disconnected at any moment lol..

do you apply a forward pelvic tilt throughout the swing?

Hi Tony, ideally, you wouldn't. You would have a neutral spine at address. There would be some forward tilt as you go to the top of the swing. You would have posterior tilt going into impact then forward tilt again in the full finish. Play well! Quentin | TSG Instructor

I don’t know why people are giving misleading information or leaving important tips out like the disconnected part of the swing you mentioned. It feels like there’s a lot of traps out there. Who do you trust?

Thanks! I keep it simple. I always focus on the 5 pieces in my system whenever my own swing gets a bit off. Focusing on the handful of simple things that matter, is best for me!

Hi, he gets to about 90 degrees. I do believe he could hit it further if he made a bigger backswing. Tony Finau is similar. He posted a video recently where he made a longer backswing and got to 136 mph. Play well! Quentin | TSG Instructor

Great job discussing an upright swing with facts to back it up. How come you don't talk about letting go at the top and using gravity like JN?

Gravity does play a role. The feeling of letting gravity work for you is fantastic. In reality, it only accounts for about 4% of the force going into the club in the early downswing though. I like the idea though! Even it isn't 100% factual.

Disagree with your comment on not losing consistently, maybe for the better players but I think staying a little bit more connected for the below average player helps consistency, distance is no good if your spraying it all over the place

If contact is poor then for sure. Also, it tracks the ball so if there was wind or anything knocking it down then it would be too. Quentin | TSG Instructor
