Sorry Michael that I’m just seeing this now!! First make sure the pistol of completely free of the magazine and any ammunition. Check to make sure the chamber is clear. If all of those are clear then point the gun in a safe direction (floor) squeeze the trigger and firmly pull the slide forward away from the frame. If you need to use the palm of your other hand to strike the back of the upper slide to release. I hope that helps!
