Installation cables have ribbons inside. Regular flex cable doesn't. Getting the wire order right would be impossible after the 5th or 10th termination.

@@zanpekosak2383 agreed it was a right pig to chop mine and terminate to a hdmi terminal block ive just never seen it with a ribbon and wonder how the signal deals with no shielding.
