I work there. A year later, I can confirm this video holds up. One, the amount of seats left also has a pretty deep impact on the price. If a flight is mainly open last minute, there's good chances youl have a decent price. Two, I like the way you use latitude but it has other perks too. Mainly flexibility via free refunds & changes. That's a major plus since we are not offering free changes & refunds anymore. Two bags & preferred seating is in there as well. Lastly, I can also confirm the very high PTS costs. It has been rising to say the least. Always EXPLORE your options before commiting to a price somewhere. Do your research before putting your foot down.
I'd say the uncertainty in border reopenings prices into that too. Typically I wouldn't expect those flights to be so high once frequencies increase a bit in the future.
With Dynamic pricing I can get yxe-yyz rt in J for 37000 PTS. Previously it was 50K rt in J. When you plan and book ahead, there a tons of sweet spots with dynamic pricing!
Finally just got around to trying this out! I don't know how you figured this out, but hey, it's pretty awesome and the searches are then so personalized relative to aeroplan elite status etc. Cool!!

It would be great if one day you could do some kind of video for those of us that only use Economy to fly with points , for whatever reason. That's different from what I've experienced - been able to book several 777s and 787s at the lower pricing level in business class, and even more by using eUps.
On many routes, AC doesn't offer a Latitude class. On others, such as YVR to Tokyo, latitude economy is the same price as basic business class. How does that work?
Make your viewer aware. Marriott will/can cancel your reservations without notification . I booked a Autograph hotel in Lisbon on March 2,2022 with points. . Between 3/2 - 6/20 . The hotel is no longer a Marriott property . My reservation was cancelled and Marriott said is not there problem nothing they can do. The new reservation now cost me from 237,000 pts to 606,000 pts. I have been a member for over 40 years. Titanium Elite member. Marriott is getting too big , has no control ..

If you chose an itinerary that included a partner airline flight and an air canada one eg. YVR-YYZ on Air Canada and YYZ-IAD on United, would the points be a fixed rate as they are for partner airlines?
Does anyone know if Aeroplan is also using dynamic pricing for advanced seat selection? My partner and I booked two identical tickets in the same class of service for an upcoming flight. My cost for advanced seat selection is almost double the other ticket. Air Canada referred us to Aeroplan. Aeroplan at first tried to investigate it as an error, but then refused to do anything and blamed it on dynamic pricing. Doesn't pass the smell test. I've had the worst experiences with Aeroplan since Air Canada bought it back and changed everything.

Hi Ricky, I am a 35K member. If I have enough eupgrade credits for the family (of 4), can I upgrade the full family using this lattitude attitude trick? I heard mixed voices on this, and some said I can only upgrade 1 family member and I have to nominate him/her under my account. Can you clarify? so I was looking at business one-way from Toronto to shanghai, saw the point was about 181k, so I transferred all my points (200k)from amex to aeroplan, 3 days later once the transfer is done, business fare was suddenly changed to 341k and I’m stuck now smfh
Sorry to hear that 😕 It’s always a risk with non-instant transfer times unfortunately. Are there alternative travel dates with cheaper pricing that you could book?
@@PrinceofTravel unfortunately the price was jacked up for the entire October. Economy is 49k, premium eco is 59k while business is 341.7k, I guess this is way too dynamic lol
How do you get e-upgrade points and how much would each point be worth in terms aeroplan points? In other words how many e upgrade points are you willing to offer for a given discount of Aeroplan points?
I have tried to book a trip to Tokyo, even it says eupgrades available before I booked, it says eupgrades not available after I am trying to use the eupgrade, I phoned aircanda, they said they dont know why, anyone experience this?
now I tried to book 8 month ahead, on latitude , can’t confirm any e upgrade from Vancouver to Tokyo. Cost for business is now 174k points. Any new tricks fo get around this ? Accumulated 700k points because of pandemic , now it’s worthless.
Every single flight shows waitlist. This is complete BS. All these videos that talk about dynamic pricing or eupgrades hold no weight in the present. Flights to Europe are a minimum of 180k in business one way and literally not one single flight shows eupgrade available. They’re all waitlist.
No!! I have no e upgrades. I just don’t want to be ripped off by Aeroplan dynamic pricing. pricing does not seem to be related to anything but individual customer interest. If u are interested by clicking on flight availability the cost skyrockets. This is so WRONG. CONTACTING BBB AND GOVT Wwho is supposed to be policing. We need review that is not co opted by govt.
