How to File a Vehicle Lien 

I loaned my daughter $5000 to buy a car and added my name to the title application as lienholder. The Massachusetts RVM rejected the application because we didnt state a lien code (lien was not registered with the state of Massachusetts). Daughter in tears. I am dumfounded that a private lender cannot obtain a lien on a car title in Massachusetts.

Are you familiar with California and I've did a private party purchase. The gentleman told me he has the paperwork and now he's holding them for an extra 500 which was against our deal so I would like to file a lien of the amount I purchased it for.

If I became a secured party after purchasing a vehicle, can I still do this although the lender is the secured party currently?

If I already put a lien on my vehicle, can someone come behind and put a lien on the same vehicle?
