What I know is that it’s a requirement. The role it plays is a question for the embassy bro

I also know they want to check if you've been through all the education processes from primary to wassce and tetiary if you are a master student . So they validate it check name and date of birth , if they don't match your passport or birth certificate they will refuse . So if there are mix matched names or change of date of birth you need to swear an affidavit at the Supreme Court . So it's for authentication and I identification.

U can’t do without any of the two. There’s nothing like sponsorship here. Germany is different from the other countries u know. U either use scholarship, blocked account or obligation letter
