In this quote, Jiddu Krishnamurti explains how to find the reason for emptiness and remove it from our lives.
We often try to cover emptiness or loneliness by clinging to people or things. But when our actions have consequences, things-and life, by association-become worse. So, what can we do to not rely on external aspects and to feel complete in ourselves? If you're in this boat right now, this video is for you.

It looks like you really didn't understand K's teaching.....your life don't need a purpose. If you have a purpose, it has a direction, a motive.....you're seeking to achieve it.

@dailysatvik Buddy, it would be best if u don't comprehend jk , instead put his videos or shorts which u liked. To share with all... cuz , he him self didn't dared to comprehend, if u see his video, he is very alert on selection of each word, taking care that It don't get misunderstood.. immediately correcting if questioner has take wrong notion. So, even if ur right or wrong, comprehension can add knowledge, and j was trying to uncover all the dust if knowledge from sight. Ty.

@@4allritesh without knowledge, we cannot grow. We cannot develop the choiceless awareness and discernment needed to be able to get rid of what is not needed, and what causes conflict in our lives. I'm not trying to discuss anything that contradicts Krishnamurti-I would crazy to do so. I'm just making his teaching simpler for the majority of us who struggle in our daily lives. He's at Level 10, we're at Level 1... i'm just helping people get to Level 2.

True. The emptiness we experience in life is like the awkward silence during conversations, which we eagerly fill by talking constantly - just to avoid the silence. I guess emptiness stems from lack of a higher purpose in life, which would keep one motivated and engaged in meaningful activities. So yes, a higher purpose in life (not chasing material comforts) is necessary to lead a meaningful and fulfilling life, which prevents the emptiness mentioned in this clip. As Viktor Frankl said in his popular book "Man's search for meaning" if one has a higher purpose, any pain can be endured. He had one, so he didn't feel any emptiness or listlessness during his torturous stay at the Nazi camps.

Life has no purpose. You misunderstood K.s message because you are trying to sell something. Nothing wrong or right about that.

From the Advaita principle, you are right. Life has no purpose. But for the majority of us, life without purpose does not translate into a life filled with awareness, but into a life of submission to circumstances. J Krishnamurti is at a level few of us can achieve. To get till there, we need constant practice of nishkāma karma (action without fruit) or bhakti yoga (devotion), or both. And that comes from purpose. Apologies for the long comment hehe.

True enlightenment occurs when an individual sees the full truth of reality without subjective distortion; however, the degree to which this is possible is contingent on the degree to which any given consciousness can, in fact, surmount its inherent subjectivity. That's the tricky part.

It is not about purpose, it is about accepting the loneliness and emptiness at full. Rumi said it likewise: when there is pain and sorrow in your heart, stay there, because the wound is the place where the light enters you.

True. You are being conscious rather than sweeping the pain under the carpet, or rather than chasing people and possessions. A purpose is a form of consciousness-not just discovering my passion, but also discovering myself. And self-discovery was what Krishnamurti always advocated.

Who says my life is empty ? Who is saying it ? Answer - > thought ! So put thought in its proper place ….. in the back seat!
@DailySattvik
@DailySattvik 2 месяца назад
I'll admit, this is a good explanation of Krishnamurti's teachings. But for the vast majority, the question is, if I've put thought in the back seat, what do I replace it with? Saying "I need awareness" may not bring it for most people since the term is abstract and tough to follow. So in the beginning, replacing people with purpose gives us a direction to move in. It makes us conscious of our behavior and actions. And that helps us, over time, to bring awareness into our lives.

How to focus on purpose....???
@roronoazero814
@roronoazero814 4 месяца назад
you cant , if you find no purpose or dont know what your purpose is then that completely us normal common sense has it that no one is ever born with a purpose written on their head you are baby , you are born randomly in some surrounding , that surrouding shapes you with certain things and way of living saying MY purpose is to find my purpose is utter ... you create your purpose based on what you want to do , which can be whatever and thats not the end if you are not feeling like you cant fullfill your purpose and you have a very good reason for that then you can quit and find a differnet route we can change according to how our mental stressors respond. there is a limit to everything , accepting reality and surviving along with time and destiny is our designed life, nothing else rest all is a form of thought we have created to keep ourselves on a positive note
@DailySattvik

To start with, you can use this 3-question framework: 1. What am I deeply passionate about? 2. What am I genetically encoded for-what activities do I feel I’m made to do? 3. What makes economic sense-what can I make a living at? Keep working on these consistently. You’ll find your purpose… it’s how I found mine.

@@DailySattvik can I tell you here as I am a little confused about it. I want things that are totally contrary to the culture, religion and ideology I have raised in. I totally want opposite but a part me tells that you are going to spoil and destroy yourself. May be those voices are not mine but of others or of what others may perceive of me if I follow my heart. Also, I listen to my heart more than my brain which means I see good in every person even in bad people and at the end I have to pay a price for it. So I am confused who to listen to

@@Seeker-seeking-truth deep dive into the lives of the people you admire and find out: 1. How much did they rely on others' opinions versus their own selves? 2. How much did they walk on a path made by others versus chart out their own? You will notice they had self-belief which guided their actions and helped them learn important lessons. The more you listen to others, the more confused you will be. Take perspectives, yes. But in the end, do what feels right to you, and accept the results. That's how you will become a first-class version of yourself. Wish you the best!
